Choosing your Start

Should I start with boots or trinket?

It depends on your enemy team.

TLDR; Boots if major early game threats, trinket otherwise.

Build trinket if you have the potential to wave clear with Scylla's crush (2) safely. There are few major threats from the opposing team in the early game. This applies to most games as long as you stay behind your own team and only move forward when clearing or poking.

Build boots if they have chosen early game based gods which can kill Scylla during the first wave clear you need the mobility to dodge/escape. For example: Thanatos, Bastet, Awilix can deal heavy poke early game. Athena and Ymir also put Scylla in dangerous positions with their taunt and freeze. These gods are huge threats to Scylla's early game - you need utility.
