Athena powers up for a dash. While dashing, Athena will pass through minions, stop and hit the first enemy god she encounters, dealing damage. If she hits an enemy, Athena gains a stack (max 3), reducing the next source of Basic Attack damage from any god that hits her. Athena may also gain these stacks by hitting an enemy god with Reach, once per attack.

Athena picks a single allied god anywhere in the world, and launches herself up into the air, landing next to that god 3.6 seconds later. During that 3.6 seconds, both Athena and the allied god gain Damage Mitigation, and the allied god also gains Movement Speed. Enemies nearby when Athena lands take damage.

Sory for spelling problem =)
One day i had an idea too try magic athen,tryed it in practise for the dmg scaling and after improved build by playing in actual game matches.
1)You probaly question your self why mage would go for close combat if he lack of hp,and can be easely killed?
2)why would mage tank build an attak build?
The answers are simple ;)
1)athen got potenzial at being mage thx too her passiveand polynomic item.
At max lvl 20 fully stacked and geared her skills will deal:=676 dmg=1333dmg=1743dmg
+her passive will deal 1224 dmg that triggered after each skill(its a clear dmg that doesn't count enemy god magical deff as you see in skill menu),
her skills requred close combat for example using3 skill then after it2 skill and luring enemy into the death trap that will take alot of helth then using her passiveright away and if enemy escapes chase after him with1 skills+passivetrow spear and enemy will die) that what make athena close combat mage fun ^^
2)well her ultimate skill does at last lvl 1743dmg dmg!! with mage build,so if your ally will help you too make your ult succesfuly hit moust of chances enemy will left with 10-15% hp and you can finish him with3 skill->2 skill-> passivespear trow->1 skill chain combo(tought he will probaly die after 3 skill ^^

1)for movement speed and faster skill cooldown(faster use of athena combos)
2)well why this item second?
well i played alot by athena and always had the feelings that some addition dmg is missing so by adding this item you already got adition dmg right from the start and only power up later ^^ this is the moust critical item for athena.
3)well at start you will run out of mana and this item helps you solved that problem + adition dmg for polimonic effect ^^
4)well this item is good adition for health and solve problem if its hard for you to survive though stack farm is anoing.althou this item is for combination with enthernal staff and book of thour(the mana and health converted into magic power combination). but if you want too skeep this item you you can get stright away ethernal stafffor the health but you will have less magic attak and mana.
5)if you where anoing at start of the game this item will make you into serius treat and proboly you will be focused with alot ultimates and stunsfor magic power _
6)last itemfor health and adition magical power

OPTIONAL ACTIVES
(not used too them so idk when too buy them but realy usful just nid to grasp the timing after with item too buy)
1)at last lvl can stun enemys around you at close range for 1.5 sek (for a mage having stun is already serius matter),can stop chased enemys or stun huge group of enemy after you taunted them with 2 skill.
2)battle blink(can teleport you in midle of combat now) ok this item is just for fun and risk,with such huge magical dmg teleporting behind enemy will scare them mibe trow in panic or you will be ganked and killed,give you option too fast kill anoing enemy or over trow battle table =)
your call it fun tough ^^
3)combination of this items i just love it <3-what for you ask? faster travel trought map and more gank chances.

pros and cons
:

+alot of dmg thx too polimonic and passive spear trow
+luring group of enemys with 2 skill into 3 skill helps in team fight
+easy too chace enemy and kill them or lure to your allys with 2skill
+can easly dive into the tower and kill with1 skill->3 skill->2 skill-> passivespear trow combo last casses adition spear passive trow
+got enaughe health too survive
+ 1743dmgultimate dmg ^^
+easy too move trought the map thx to1 skill and ultimate

-a bit hard til you reach lvl 6-7
-ultimate hit based on your teamates skills
-anoing staks farm for health xD
-probaly become target for ganks
-complains from teamates why tank go mage build
-if enemy got escape skills it will ruine your combo and you stuck on cooldown unless you time right after they used escape skill

The build is nice and fun too play.you dont have too take hp items if you want too play risky ;)its fun too chase in the tower enemy with low hp hight chance for fast kill and escape.
Personaly i played before an assasin type gods and always rashed into the battle,didnt had mach fun with mages but athena changed my veuw and allowed me too enjoy the same type of gamplay i had before just in mage style ^^with this build athena transform into close mage controller allowing you too control enmy taunting them at you for your teamates,into the tower or luring them into your 3skill that does alot of dmg.at arena i prefer second build coz i dont have enaughe time too grab the staks.but in conquest its always nice too have 3500 hp for a mage and 792 magical attak ^^by the way with polimonicyou can take easely towers on coz polimonic effect apply dmg too the tower.
The best Teammate For Mage Athena?

1)her 1 skill can be easely hit if athena taunt enemy with 2 skill.
2)if neith use 1 after athena succesly use 3-2 skill combo enemy will be at your disposel when he bound too the floor xD
3) if even you didnt get chance too finish enemy neight ultimate will do the job.
4)agens odin+zeus combo athena+ neith is good solution,just harres zeus with athena combos you will finish him or he will retorn too the base,even if you at base and neith got cought into the odin ultimate(right after he used 1 skill too caugh her)your ultimate will do the job too wound gravely odin and finish him with your combo (just taunt him after his ultimate down xD)
