When you're Ares always max chains up to 5 levels. This is the most dangerous weapon Ares. Never max flames because they are poor. When you hit your enemy chain can make it even 2 times (max 3 counting the first beat). Each time it is inflicted blow eg chains 100 power x300 + some damage eg 100 + 50 + 100 + 50 + 100 + 50 .. and slow.

I think yo should change this gauntlet and stone of gaia, because Ares are not a great farmer, you lose your slot. If you want to do a magical bruisser/tanker Ares, you should replace for bullwark of hope and for your last item, you choose more magical damage with penetration (obsidian) or defensive itens like Nemean Lion against strong physical team or a stone of gaia angaist a freaking mages (In this case you can use stone of gaia or magi's blessing).

summarizing: Forget Gaundlet plz, this is a great item for mid laners and carries (top farmers), but Tankers must to be smart, dont waste your gold with this item, buy a thing it will be more helpful for you and your team.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
