Aphrodite Build

Starter kit

Notes For this build, you want to take "Sands of Time" and "Restoring Wand" as your first items.

Sands of time is going to help you sustain and get extra damage in. The unfortunate reality is that the first few levels for Aphrodite are ridden with mana drain and low damage.

The restoring wand is going to make you slightly more survivable for the first few levels because of the 50 HP and MP you will get from it. It's also your first choice because you want to rush into building the "Rod of Asclepius."

core items

Notes These core items are an always-take situation. First, "Pendulum of Ages" and "Rod of Asclepius" are going to be nice early and late-game CDR sources.

You want to take "Rod of Asclepius" early. It's going to enable your team to take on early-game objective pushes like Pyro or Gold Fury because you will heal for 30% more on your tank. Furthermore, your opponent in Mid will almost be guaranteed to take build anti heal first or second.

Take "Book of Thoth" second now. It's so easy to stack this item with recent changes that you will stack it so quickly. The benefit of building "Book of Thoth" with the "Rod of Asclepius" is that you will get about another free 20 magical power from the evolved "Book of Thoth"

single target

Notes These items are going to enable you to single target burst down squishy targets, like the enemy mid, jungle or carry. The polynomicon is a really solid follow-up to Aphrodite's "Kiss" ability into a "Love Birds" proc, which will enable you to follow-up with a "Back Off!" and additional poly proc for a kill.

It's because they are going to 1) make you tankier and reduce the length which tanks can spam CC on you; 2) it has high penetration; 3) soul reaver is just OP and melts tanks. Furthermore, ethereal and soul reaver are going to increase your mana and add value to your evolved book.

Aphrodite's Skill Order Notes Here's the thing. Aphrodite's primary value comes from her 3rd ability, "Love Birds." It heals her and allies, it's her wave clear, and it helps reduce her and her allies cooldowns for each tick of the ability. Next, you want to max out your 2nd ability "Back off!" -- it's her burst damage and is going to help secure more kills as the game progresses. I usually prefer maxing out her kiss before her ultimate, however, this is situational. If your team is securing more kills because your ultimate is enabling your jungle or solo to dive the backline more freely, then you might consider maxing "Undying Love" first -- however, matches that are more brawly you might want to consider maxing "Kiss" fist. Not only because you increase the damage of kiss, but your jealousy buff also increase, so whoever you are linked too will also deal more damage.

In sum, "Love Birds" is the first priority followed by "Back Off!" -- they are your primary damage abilities. Then, level "Kiss" or "Undying Love" situationally based on whether you need more defensive utility or damage utility.
