Ao Kuang Single god Combat

Hey there its KingCarL this is my first guide still trying to get the hang of how to do this. Now this is my Ao Kuang build usually for joust and arena but I have used it in conquest and it worked fairly well and you can change the polynomicon for something that gives yu life steal or hps if ur having trouble surviving. Now Ao Kuang is a great mage in my opinion and late game he can take on most gods the few I tend to avoid are Bellona Geb and Aries if the person counter builds right or just knows how to use the character effectively they can **** you up fairly quickly if your not paying attention to your health but if you play Ao Kuang right yu can have them running with their tail between their legs, also Loki is another to watch for because his ultimate stuns you long enough that Loki can kill you right away if he is built right. Now I play Ao Kuang a tad aggressive just because of his melee aspect and his ultimate requires you to be within a certain distance. I personally use a combo of Dragon Call and Wild Storm with Water illusion as my escape ability and my ultimate for that instant kill as it has the same health threshold instant kill effect as Thanatos but with out the ability to go wherever to find the person but if you can get people with it it's great and gives you the ability to either put extra damage on another god which I only recommend if your team is nearby or at least another god you trust to be able to back you up, push a lane or tower, or it works as a great escape as you get some moderate distance from it which is what I use it for mainly but I do push towers from time to time or use it to ambush a camp and take it out fairly quick. Also with camps on my mind I would like to point out an effective combo for camps which is Dragon call followed by Wild storm and with wild storms special attack quality it triggers dragon calls basic attack properties which send out some dragons that are circling you out as a dive bomb now early game it will take a bit to kill them and will probably bring you to half health which isn't a problem just recall and you will be fine but mid to late game by the time ur dragons are used up for dragon call the entire camp will be dead and you might even have a couple dragons left depending on how you exactly build him and btw my build isn't a strict code or anything its just what I run the works well as it keeps ur mana up so you don't have those times where you have to run or recall because your out of mana. The best way to approach people is cautiously especially mid game as people tend to get some of their damage items then and ur build isn't complete so yu don't have either the hps or life steal to survive some tough encounters you can also go in and out fast if you use him effectively I personally do both but to go into the in and out part I usually use my water illusion to stealth and sneak up on people and since you can use dragon call without breaking stealth I prime that as well and then I usually activate it agian because Dragon Call allows you to send the remaining dragons out in a line and if it hits it does a slow effect the more dragons the higher the slow effect then I use wild storm and if I have my ultimate and they are within the threshold I use that to instantly kill them and either escape or jump to a spot I can help out in. I would also like to add that depending on how you use water illusion it can help out with damage as when/if you activate it agian before it times out the water illusion explodes doing damage to those in its radius this breaks stealth if you are still in it and restarts the cool down now I use it in different ways but if ik I might need it as an escape I make sure I pop the water illusion to start my cool down quicker as opposed to just letting it time out then starting the cool down. You almost want to run Ao Kuang as an assassin since he has such high single target damage and can take camps put fairly easy and is great for pushing towers because he has a fast basic attack speed even without any items to boost it as this is just a guide you can change whatever in the build area to suit your needs personally I believe to use items that work well with your personal play style because the way this game is you can play the gods very differently as I've seen an anubis build where they can just stand there and damn near never die or run out of mana and in other builds I've seen anubis drop in seconds so find a way that works well with you with this character and find items that amplify your build. Another way I found to do better is to find people to play with even if it's just a couple people you would be surprised how much of a difference it makes to have people to talk to so they can tell you what's going on when ur recalled or off by yourself and they can even give you a tip on ur character or even might tell notice ur play style and point out a god to try that may fit ur style better the few people I found really helped me solidify my Ao Kuang build now I can play by myself and still do great even if the others aren't helping I can even take out other Ao Kuangs with the slightest of ease my friends even tell me to use him when I'm another god because they think I'm the best at him lol that's all I can think of to help it's great that this website is here for people to come together and help each other it actually gave me a starting point for how to play my favorite gods the right hopefully I've done the same for anyone who reads this. I forgot to add but I will be updating this guide when new information comes to me and I will be revamping this guide soon to make it easier to follow and more useful to beginning players sorry for how it is like I said it's my first guide ever to be specific.
