Ao Kuang definitely needs to be played on the side line. This build is meant for you to get in, get a kill (or more than one), and get out.
Generally speaking, all the auto attack builds don't work very well because Ao Kuang is having to stick in the fight for too long slapping the enemy with his dragons. Unless the enemy you're targeting is either alone, or doesn't have their escape ability up, slashing all your dragons into them isn't what I typically do.
Typical combo consists of:
1. popping dragons
2. going invisible with water illusion
3. cone them with wild storm
4. proc polynomicon (which will shoot out one more dragon)
5. shoot remaining dragons into them
6. maybe ult if you can or need to
You might could save your water illusion instead of using it for initiating if you need to make a hasty retreat or escape. In that case, just walk up and cone their *** and do the stuff.
Pros: Incredible burst
Cons: Squish city. Don't mess up
