Musical Instruments

Anyone play any? I currently don't play any, but I plan on starting soon with an instrument I've always wanted to learn; the violin.

Back in 5th and 6th grade, I played the trumpet for school. Originally, when we were given instruments to try out in 4th grade, I really wanted to play the violin, but for some unknown reason at this point, I decided to pick up the trumpet. Was fun, but I still have no idea why I picked trumpet over the violin, which is what I originally wanted.

So now, about 13 years later, I really have the desire to learn the violin again. Honestly, I kind of wish my parents were the type that forced their kids to take those stereotypical piano lessons or something like that as a kid (since I also love the piano), but now that I'm an adult, I'll be forcing myself to learn the violin anyhow.

What about you all? Any musical instruments you play? Have played? Want and/or plan to learn someday?

And by the way, I wouldn't be surprised if some of these were coming in, so I want to get them out of the way, even though it wouldn't surprise me if they still come up:

-Guitar Hero/Rock Band/whatever controllers aren't musical instruments.
-Mayonnaise is not an instrument.
-Neither is horseradish.
-Air guitar definitely isn't one.

I'm sure there are other joke answers out there, so let them fly if you don't have a serious answer and really want to.

Well, i don't have talent (what they call musical hearing or something like that) but I really want to learn to play on a guitar

I play the keyboard. It's been a long time since i practiced, though. I also play a little bit of guitar.

I used to play the clarinet, I stopped 2 years ago though.
I'd love to play the piano, but I don't think I'll be able to :(

Piano, violin, viola and guitar; I can also play some basic drum stuff and I can play some bass.

I can play some mean triangle and beat sticks. I can also whistle pretty well.

Other than that, i'm a wicked GuitarFreaks, DrumMania, and Dance Dance REvolution player :3

Damn, I'd love to get to the point where I could play the first three. How long have you been playing?

I play ze piano, le cornet, la guitarra, der recorder (this one) and the good old flute.

Piano, acoustic guitar, tenor saxophone, and alto saxophone. I could add electric but I've never played one. Although my interest in musical instruments has declined these past few years I must admit.
