When you make god idea posts, where do you come up with the god, how do you select it? What I do is go on Your text to link here... go to a Parthenon I wan to make a god for, then look through the gods. Debating on how I'm feeling, I research the god for 1-3 days, or I make the idea instantly. Well my question to you is... How do you come up with ideas?
With Yum Kaax, I actually thought up of his 1 and his ulti before anything else. I realised a plant theme would suit my god, so I simply googled up plant deities. I had many different choices, but in the end went with Yum Kaax, as there was a lack of Mayan deities in the game.
Welll, I think of MOBA styled gameplay and in fights what I wish I had like: "I WISH I COULD JUST MURDER HIM BY FLYING INTO THE AIR AND STUNNING HIS TEAM" (Juno)
Then I research into the pantheon I feel like based on my idea, then I WRITE

I do that sometimes, I'll look for a theme and go from there.
I just read stories about mythology or the actual legends like Percy Jackson, Heroes of Olympus, Kane chronicles, countless non-fiction mythology books, Xiyoujie and the story about Ne Zha. They give you lots of info about gods and are very interesting.
