This is true for the whole site, but especially relevant in this forum where people put a lot of time and effort into sharing their ideas or critique other's ideas.

  • Always be Respectful - If you don't like another person's idea that doesn't make it ok to insult or demean them. If you are critiquing a concept keep in mind a lot of time and passion was probably put into it. Being polite will not only make it more likely people will listen to you, it will encourage others to be polite in return.

  • Agree to Disagree - If you have a fundamental disagreement with someone don't keep arguing in circles. It is a waste of time and forum space.

  • Respect Contest Decisions - If a contest is being held, it is the person running the contest that makes the final decisions. If you do not win or you disagree with a decision, that is no excuse to attack or insult either the organizer or another entry. Do not harass or go on about a contest decision, and keep in mind the effort put in by the organizer to hold the competition in the first place. If you disagree, ask in a respectful way why one entry was chosen over another, and (read above) don't argue in circles about the decision.

  • Do not Incite Drama - If another user is causing drama, DO NOT MAKE IT WORSE! If a user insults you or one of your friends that doesn't give you the right to break the rules and insult them back. If people are fighting throwing in comments like "get wrekt" or "ownt" is just as bad. Hit that "report" button on the comment and let moderators handle the situation.

I consider this a warning to everyone who has broken these rules in recent events.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
