.. don't care and just ignore all threads about matchmaking. People always complain about matchmaking in all mobas right? So the conclusion is that matchmaking in this game is good. Great reasoning. Understandable they have this garbage of matchmaking so long that they don't know how and don't bother to update it.
If a person is put in a group constantly game after game after game and he is always the top player and is in group where half the people that doesn't land even one kill ... well they don't care. You have 3 account and all account have different ello, ranged from 1000 to 3000. What is this saying about the matchmaking.. well they don't care. You play tons of games and you either win with no sweat or lose tragically .. they don't care.
The funny part is they also don't care that the main reason why more people dont join Smite is because of their incompetence to provide a fair match. Just check other forums: oh it is Hirez and their ****py matchmakings (yes in all of their games). Well it is free to play - ok well in this way it will be free to not play.

it worked man, the bug was it was giving out deserters randomly after games.
other then that it was a really good system.

Hmm and it worked ... because? I told you my reasons what about telling me your reasons to believe it worked. Matchmaking must provide a function --> fair matchmaking.
they removed the Timer so a game would only start if the servers found 10 players from the same skill level and not the 10 clossest from a pool after 5 min or so making it more fair.

they need to change the algorithm altogether not this quick fix. Elo means **** as it is now. If they dont find someone that is more capable of programing the matchmaking it is useless.
This is an elephant in the room. The biggest problem of this game is matchmaking. Not even the god balance - they balance gods fairly well.
It is simply ridiculous that you can have different elos on diffident accounts. What does elo measure then? Luck?
