Root banned

Hello Smite Community,

I need to take a moment to clear the air on a recent issue that was brought to my attention. The Community Team is aware of recent events in competitive play involving 2 players from one of the top teams breaking the Terms of Use. Players AnatoLiy and Allied shared their account information during a tournament to overcome an obstacle that was presented to their team. While their motives may have been justified in many player's eyes, we must uphold the Terms of Use for the game.

We have suspended the account of both players for 7 days. During this time, neither player is allowed to participate in public events on any account. To be clear, this means there is to be no "smurfing" for tournaments during the suspension period. Because we were not the administrators of the event, our only concern in this scenario is with the Terms of Use and not the actual tournament results.

We expect all players to abide by the account and game agreements found here: http://www.hirezstudios.com/hi-rez/legal. This includes everyone from a new player making an account today to a top tier player who has played Smite since it's alpha phase. We strive to uphold the agreements and will continue to support fair play at all levels.
