So ive come to determine that reddit is completely worthless. Unless im completely doing it wrong, there is so much spam any new content gets pushed out and gone before anyone sees it. And if no one sees it, no comments, and its lost the graveyard -_-

Screw reddit. lol

You need alot of early upvotes if you want to reach first page. I've personally done it only by having 5 computers and 2 phones online, creating a new account every 5 minutes, granting 7 upvotes every 5 minutes paired with occasional upvotes from actual readers. It's dirty work - but it does the job. You usually need the kickstart so it doesn't blend in with the many, many random posts. Past a certain amount of upvotes it can work on it's own. Much like learning a little kid how to ride his bicycle. You push it forward until it rides on itself or until it crashes and dies.

As for the idea, seems like a pretty good idea. Needless to say the problem described is a grave one. I too often see the lowest ELO'd person not having the god that needs to be picked, e.g. a tank. It's a game killer, especially because the lowest ELO generally has the least gods. And, albeit a personal observation, the lowest ELO player in your average lobby, league or casual, seems to be pretty non communicative.

There should be a way to re-assure that a tank can be picked when a tank is due for picking. Not by means of restricting your picks to tanks only when other roles are filled, that would ruin potential anti-meta games.

Your method would therefore work, but it seems like it'd require alot more lobby time. Which, in my honest opinion, is worth it considering it's only relatively to a 20~40 minute game.

Well, I've read that they might make it so that you pick your role before joining a queue, matching you with complimentary players. That could kinda solve it! (but probably break a whole lot too)
That's just my 2 cents.

Oy! Give me some privacy.

Thanks for your input Thiel.

I would like to comment that it wouldn't add lobby time. There is already lobby time given for trading. You would just have this time up front instead of after the god selection :-)

I have thought about the whole 'queuing based on role' but often times you can't chose your role until you see who is on your team, their ELO, etc.

And sigh, so I gotta totally hack reddit to get a post noticed. Not really worth my time, ill just let me idea sink to oblivion until someone else comes up with it on their own ^_^
