Yesterday I went out and got a brand new desktop computer. Nothing fancy or anything but a bit better than my other desktop which can run smite at about 60fps on medium visual settings.

So, i got this baby hooked up and turns out this thing runs smite at 14 fps on lowest visual settings. Wow i thought.. 14fps is terrible and this thing runs way faster than my other comp. So, I tested on highest visual settings and it runs at 10fps. That doesn't even seem right at all being as it only dropped 4 fps from highest to lowest quality. Something isn't right...

I have:
64 bit HP Desktop Windows 8
Intel i-3 processor 2.6 ghz
8 gigs of ram
Intel(r) HD Graphics card

Can anyone help me figure out why Smite is running at such low fps?

Not everything thats from intel is good, just saying.
The i3 processor is outdated there is already the i5 and i7 and damn even my Phenom II x4 is better than the i3.
The " Intel HD graphics card " is the graphic card of the processor, right?
The graphic card of the processor is only good for desktop programs etc.
Buy a real graphic card and you should be good to go.
Id recommend the Geforce GTX 660

So you're sure that if I get a new graphics card it will help? Or would it be both a graphics card and a new processor?

Buy a new graphics card first. Try it out and if it doesnt change anything buy a new processor.
But don't give the graphics card back, since you wont be able to play any games with an onboard graphics card.
