He really only has one ability that does multi-target damage and that is his ult. mostly he is a single target burst machine. The range on his ult is pretty sub-standard compared to other abilities in smite, and if you put him down early he is nothing. baka is incredible when fed, but pretty mediocre any other time.

Single target means he is ment to take down single targets.
The chances of you ulting 5 people are very unlikely, I'd say realistically you MIGHT be able to get 2-3 at the most in your ult but who is going to sit in your ult?
