Lancelot du Lac is a highly skilled swordsman, jouster, and the Lord of Joyous Gard where he discovered to be a long lost French prince from the tomb in the castle's crypt. Due to his accomplishments, King Arthur gave him Knighthood and a spot at his Round Table as one of his greatest knights alongside his friend, Sir Gawain. All that would soon turn to rubble as Lancelot would be forced to flee Camelot when his secret affair with Arthur's wife and queen, Guinevere, was exposed as well as mistakingly killing Gawain's brother Gareth. Locking himself in Joyous Gard, renamed to the former Dolorous Gard, Lancelot would become a hermit sitting in his castle until the day he dies.

The type of playstyle I want to give Lancelot was the polar opposite of Arthur. Arthur is a bulky, ability-focused, and more on the defensive side of warriors. Lancelot, on the other hand, would be a quick, auto-attack based warrior that focuses on an aggressive 1v1 playstyle and his kit will provide him the tools needed for that purpose.
Along in his kit will be the introduction to a new ability type, Reaction. This ability type would work like a counterattack that can give an advantage during a fight or deal an extra bit of damage.

When it came to figuring out Lancelot fighting style and weapon, it was an obvious choice when you know more about his where he comes from. Lancelot, at least the most famous interpretation, has a deep French background so for that his kit and playstyle would be that of a fencer and a jouster and his weapons would be modeled off of an Épée dueling sword and a jousting lance but also include Celtic style decal, specifically that mirroring water, as he was the adoptive child of the Lady of the Lake.
