Fur-st Degree Purr-der (Conquest - Jungle - S2)

Initiative is an easy passive to take advantage of, however it makes it even more essential that you land your Summon Suku when engaging enemies. Once you've landed, try to quickly do your basic attacks to take as much advantage of this passive as possible.

Summon Suku is what makes Awilix truly unique. Its movement speed buff allows Awilix to move across the map at speeds unheard of by other assassins. This enables you to clear jungle camps quickly, rush to help your allies when they're in trouble or help them with a quick gank, counter jungle, escape and pursue enemies. The only problem with this ability is landing its attack. This can be infuriating at times, as you essentially have to predict where the enemy will move, especially at longer distances. However, the damage (increased by Initiative) and slow caused by this ability are essential to helping Awilix take down enemies. Mastering landing this ability is the first step towards mastering this goddess. Additionally, this ability is great for engaging jungle camps (even jumping over walls) and I prefer to level it up before Moonlight Charge because of this capability.

Feather Step is an excellent damaging ability both for ganks and clearing jungle camps. Always try to make sure to use this ability before your third attack for the damage and radius buff (increased attack speed makes this easier). This ability can actually be used from a decent range away from an enemy and can be great for snagging an enemy about to escape. This will place you in front of the enemy as well, allowing you to bodyblock their escape routes. Feather Step also adds a great deal of confusion to enemies, especially in a team fight and lines you up to use Moonlight Charge if done from in front of an enemy. This ability can also work great as an escape. If you're being pursued at low health, try turning around, jabbing the enemy once and flipping over them. Since most enemies won't expect this, you can typically then begin to either run away with Summon Suku or leap with it over or around a wall.

Moonlight Charge is a difficult ability to use (especially before it could knockup from the sides of the enemy and was slower). I prefer to put this ability on instant casting in order to quickly use it after Feather Step to set up for Gravity Surge. This ability is easier to hit than Summon Suku, but I still recommend leveling up this ability last since it's not good for early game jungle clearing (uses up too much mana). This ability is also decent as a lane clear if you need to defend a lane while your teammate is dead or at base.

Gravity Surge is what really brings Awilix's kit together. Gravity Surge ensures that enemy gods not only have no escape, but also deals immense damage and will almost always secure a kill on a leaping or knocked up enemy. Hitting Moonlight Charge is essential in order for this ability to reach its greatest potential, but if you miss don't be afraid to activate it anyway for the attack speed and power buff. This ability is also great for dueling another assassin if you need the extra damage.

Boots are an excellent starter item for Awilix, giving her some early mobility. Once upgraded to Warrior Tabi they also provide great power. I would recommend Warrior Tabi over Ninja Tabi since Awilix is an ability based assassin and because this particular build has a good amount of attack speed built in.

Bumba's Mask is my go to starter item for most assassins. It's incredibly helpful to Awilix due to her lack of lifesteal, but if you wish to build lifesteal early instead, you can skip this item entirely.


ALTERNATIVE
Death's Toll is a decent alternative to Bumba's Mask. I personally like the early game stat boosts it provides that help me have an edge on enemy players, but it does limit your ability to take out jungle camps effectively. If choosing this you will need to purchase a lifesteal item early on.

Purification Beads are essential for Awilix so that she can escape. Because of her squishiness, she's very vulnerable to CC, and Summon Suku is not a very quick escape to activate, making beads a necessity unless you invest in Magi's Blessing.

Heavenly Agility will allow you to both pursue enemies and escape fights at lightning speed. Generally Improved Sprint is good enough for the majority of the game since it does provide slow immunity, however Heavenly Agility is an awesome boon to your team late game.


ALTERNATIVE
If the enemy team has many high burst ultimates and such that are bursting you down like Release The Kraken! or I'm a Monster, I would highly recommend grabbing Aegis Pendant to avoid the damage. It's important to note however that Feather Step does offer temporary immunity as well to avoid these attacks.


ALTERNATIVE
Achilles' Spear offers a great offensive item early game, but is very high-risk high-reward. If used well, this item can net you some very quick kills, but if used poorly, you'll be dying twice as fast. Use wisely.


ALTERNATIVE
Greater Blink can be a great initiation tool if you're worried about being able to get out of an engage safely, since it allows you to save your Summon Suku for disengaging. However, it doesn't offer much defensive capabilities aside from that.


ALTERNATIVE
Wrath of the Gods can give you an early advantage in jungle clear as well as a way to secure jungle objectives late game. I would only advise getting this if you are in great need of clearing jungle camps quickly and your team lacks objective security, since other actives provide more benefits.

Hastened Fatalis is my preferred choice as the beginning of my core build. Many people dislike this item because it provides no additional attack power or penetration, however every single part of this item is useful to Awilix. The movement speed will allow you to roam the map at great speeds, the attack speed is excellent for early game jungle clear and kill potential letting you maximize your Feather Step more quickly, and the passive allows you to stick to people without having to invest in sprint, and lets you stick to tankier foes for long periods of time. The Executioner holds more damage potential, but it offers no extra movement buff and costs more. This item will allow you to begin focusing on players due to its passive much faster than if you purchase The Executioner or even Jotunn's Wrath. An additional advantage is that because of its passive, Hastened Fatalis is excellent for boxing other basic attack users. Most other melee users have a shorter melee range than Awilix (she has 15 units vs the normal 12). If done properly, you should be able to use Hastened Fatalis' passive to stay outside of enemies' melee ranges while still attacking them with your increased range yourself.

Jotunn's Wrath is a great CDR item and also provides good mana penetration and power. This allows you to spam your abilities more often, as well as penetrate better without S1's penetration boots.

The Executioner is a good attack speed and penetration item, especially for its price. This item also plays into Awilix's Feather Step well by first reducing protections before its use. However, do note that this item will not reduce the protections on those initially hit by your Summon Suku, so you will still want to build penetration.

Brawler's Beat Stick is excellent at shutting down enemies with healing and also provides good penetration and physical power. Unlike Titan's Bane this item's penetration is flat, working better with The Executioner's protection reduction than Titan's Bane's percent based penetration. I prefer this item to Deathbringer because it can be used to shut down ADCs and other healers and provides flat penetration for your abilities. However, if going for basic attacks, Deathbringer will give you more raw power when paired with Rage.

Rage is a great pickup which will make your basic attacks formidable when combined with the high attack speed in this build proc'ing its passive. This item will not only double the power of your basic attacks frequently, but also provides good power. If going for a full on power build, Rage and Deathbringer combined cannot be beaten.

Titan's Bane is by far the best solo physical penetration item for the price. Providing you with 33% penetration for all your attacks, Titan's Bane will allow both your basic attacks and abilities to hit hard. However, this item is best used without a penetration reduction item like The Executioner, so if you replace The Executioner for Qin's Sais, you may want to consider this item.



The Crusher is near identical to Brawler's Beat Stick in stats, but specializes in taking down towers rather than healing reduction. If you wish to use Awilix more to push towers than to box ADCs or take down healers, then I would recommend switching Brawler's Beat Stick for The Crusher.

Bloodforge is mostly a situational item. By this point in the game, you will have to have sold Bumba's Mask, giving you absolutely no sustain outside of going back to base. I like Bloodforge because it provides great lifesteal, as well as physical power, however Soul Eater can commonly be better situationally.



Asi is decent pickup compared to Bloodforge, providing ample lifesteal, attack speed and penetration. However, it does not provide any physical power, and the attack speed buff provided by your ultimate make this typically a less helpful pickup. Only buy this if you find yourself using your ult often to grab people from the air and need extra penetration for very tanky opponents.

Soul Eater is the best defensive lifesteal option, providing lifesteal to you and your allies, as well as some attack speed and a good amount of health. This item is best bought to replace Hastened Fatalis and paired with another defensive item (see below) if you wish to create more of a bruiser build.

Frostbound Hammer is a great alternative to Hastened Fatalis for a more bruiser build if you still need to stick to people. While it doesn't provide additional movement or attack speed, it does possess more power and a great health pool, making it highly effective when paired with a defensive item like those below.

Magi's Blessing
Magi's Blessing is fantastic if you wish to buy sprint instead of Purification Beads, or if the other team has an immense amount of CC. This is an all around great defensive item, good for the sixth slot in your build. Generally if you intend to buy Magi's Blessing, skip Hastened Fatalis and buy Sprint early game instead, and then later pick up Magi's Blessing for both defense and as a replacement for beads.

Shifter's Shield provides both power and protections, making it incredibly useful in many situations. I will often replace my sixth item with Shifter's Shield so that I can take more hits from heavy damaging teams.

Void Shield provides better protection for you than Shifter's Shield and reduces the physical protection of your enemies for you and your allies to take advantage of. However, it only provides physical protection, thus I will often favor Shifter's Shield against balanced teams.

Mail of Renewal can be a great defensive pickup, grabbing you CDR, health, physical defense and a fantastic passive that can help your ability to perform cleanup-crew with ease. Since its buff, this item is also cheap and one of the best ways for Awilix to max her CDR while maintaining a great build.

Spirit Robe like mail or renewal is great for providing some defensive stats as well as an extra 15% CDR. The main differing factor between choosing one or the other is primarily whether you need mixed protections, physical protections or additional health. Spirit Robe's passive is also excellent for enduring teams with lots of CC.

Deathbringer increases your crit damage by large percent as well as your physical power and crit chance, making it better for damaging basic attacks than Brawler's Beat Stick. However, this item is incredibly expensive and does not have as much penetration or utility as its alternative, thus I usually opt out of buying it.

Hydra's Lament is a unique part of this build. However, providing decent physical power as well as CDR, I've found that this item fits Awilix incredibly well. if you find yourself with enough health sustain during the late game (or that you're willing to buy health pots), this item will max out Awilix's CDR as well as providing an excellent passive making it a decent replacement for Brawler's Beat Stick if you really want that CDR and cheaper price.

Qin's Sais are expensive but powerful, if you see yourself off to an early lead, you may want to consider buying them instead of The Executioner with your additional cash (do note you will still need to grab penetration from Titan's Bane if you do this).

You should begin by picking up Boots for speed, Bumba's Mask, Hand of the Gods for jungle camps and a couple health potions (these are only used situationally, but they cost very little so it's best to keep them for when the time comes). Alternatively you can pick up Rage of the Gods to reduce the cooldown for your active and clear camps faster, or buy a health potion and a Ward to anticipate incoming invades. Generally the second tactic is more useful in high level play. You should start by getting the speed buff and mana buff with your solo player and heading to lane.

You should go to lane with your solo laner for a bit in the beginning. Note that Awilix's only early game poke is her Moonlight Charge which you can use to help your solo laner clear early waves. Other junglers will often times outpressure you if your solo laner has bad lane clear early game, don't let this make you over-aggressive, you need to maintain some health for the jungle camps or else you will have to return to base far too early. Once you've gotten some experience and the other jungler has more or less left, you can head out and begin farming jungle camps or helping mid lane. If focusing jungle camps, you should try to take out as many of these as possible, as fast as possible. Use Summon Suku to get around whenever possible, as you save far more time by using it to move around the map than it takes to go back to base and heal up your mana. However, it is very common practice to either go straight for a mid gank or to take out the camp on the solo lane side and then go to mid. This can sometimes secure an early kill or give your mid laner an advantage over the other, so it's a very worthwhile tactic. Finally make sure to be around mid when the 3 minute mark is up since the mid camps will spawn. These are highly contested and getting both gives your team an awesome early lead.

If you've taken out all the jungle camps and your ultimate is ready but there is still no opportunity to gank, either go to whichever lane is being pushed the most and help them clear some minions (helps them and you), or counter jungle the enemy's jungle camps if they've got slower early game jungle camp clear than you. Otherwise go attack some lanes and try to feed yourself with some early game kills. If you start slow with Awilix, not using your Summon Suku when possible and wandering the jungle not killing camps or minions, you will fall behind and you will have a very bad match. Avoid this at all costs.

Once you have hopefully gotten a few kills under your belt, you should continue taking out all the jungle camps with your super high mobility and running around the entire map ganking and assisting allies wherever possible (always make sure to help the side lanes with the mana buff and the mid lane with the attack buff). As long as you always keep yourself occupied, you should see yourself pull a steady lead over the other player's levels which will allow you to take advantage of anyone who's falling behind. Do note, the mid xp camps are ESSENTIAL. Make sure to keep these under your control and ward them if they've fallen to enemy hands.

For ganks you should target squishy mages as they are the easiest to kill, but anyone who's pushing too far up lane can be a target. Remember that your ultimate Gravity Surge is great against gods with leaps for escapes or paired with allied gods with knockups. These lanes have the greatest potential for kills during the mid and early game and should be targeted the most often if given the choice.

However, you should avoid getting caught up fighting multiple players. Try to keep your encounters to 1v1s as much as possible, you have very little sustain in a larger battle. If an enemy's allies run in as backup, it's a good idea to buy beads so that you can ignore their CC and instead Summon Suku and leap or run away.

Also, you can be of great help to your team by coming to a teammates aid when they are trying to take down a tower. Always note when your teammates are pushing lane, because you can join them very quickly and help them secure a tower kill before the enemy team even knew you had arrived.

By late game Awilix is great at being able to join and assist your allies wherever possible because of her movement speed. Any ally that is in trouble should be quickly rushed to and assisted. In team battles, you want to try to stay around the edges and take out enemies that stray from their allies. Your ultimate is still great at preventing damaged enemies from escaping and is also good at isolating enemies that have been knocked up by an ally. Use this to your advantage, as most enemies that are pulled are always an easy kill.

However, unless you build a bruiser build you are incredibly squishy, even late game. While you do have one of the best pursuits in the game, be wary chasing too far without beads for escape as you can easily be taken down by two enemies late game.

Your damage output is also incredibly useful for taking out the Fire Giant, Gold Fury, Phoenixes and Titan, so help your teammates whenever possible, but avoid being targeted at all costs.
