Hey Dash, how about allowing us to have a pure black background, for the guide layout? I don't really enjoy the grey all to much. If it was black I'd be extremely happy. That or give us a option to allow us to choose which back ground color we wanted?
1. Letting users delete guides to reduce clutter is good
2. Filters and tags for guides that aren't just gods. (Warrior, Arena, Item, ect)
3. An auto delete after 6 months of no update to keep things at least semi relevant. (Meta changes a lot faster though)
4. Live chat for sure
5. As far as mod approved goes, couldn't you apply some sort of alert system so that after a guide gets a certain number of views + likes the mods can be alerted to look at it. That way they don't need to look at every guide, but you can still have some good guides to give priority to in the searches as well as a mod-approved filter?

Disagree, a lot of good guide makers take breaks from smite (like me) and if their breaks are long (like mine), having to start from 0 is just terrifying. Also older guides are great templates of the site's history and "how to make success" guide as well
A slight modification of Duo's suggestion would be functional, but we also already have something along those lines.
Default search for guides defaults to "stale," which is roughly 3 months. After that, it doesn't show up in the standard god guide search.
If you go to the god page itself, the guides listed are all by season, with S4 guides first (enough characters), S4 builds next, then S3 and so on.
One thing I'd sort of asked the admins was for permission to archive guides that were both really old, AND perhaps not as relevant as some that could be more timeless and still potentially viable, at least with the information and tips for the god.
The idea is to clean up readily accessible guides so that we would have both higher quality AND more currently relevant builds. The question is how to do that without messing up creative freedom and just deleting peoples' work. An auto-archive would be a better solution to a pure delete, but some of those older guides are still relevant (especially guide-making, BB coding and other things) and we don't want those archived.
Another suggestion based on Duo's/Bran's: when the review system gets implemented (assuming it will), guides older than 6 months get automatically that AREN'T REVIEWED are auto archived and a message is sent to the guide owner. Also, a text on top of old guides/builds saying "This guide/build is old, it might not work anymore" or something like that could prevent new players from trying to buy crit on Ymir or something like that.
Never expected to see a thread like this that's pretty nice. However I'm gonna start to Mowen my way into this one (or was it one of the other admins/crew)
The auto delete/archive is probably goign to hurt the site more. The site is more active nowadays however it still isn't mobafire active. I haven't checked this however how many gods are there that would have no guides left after this? if the answer is 1 or more it's already bad. Certain gods just aren't popular sadly.
the second thing what I saw here coming up a lot is actually the MOBAfire scout system (only in a different way) if levasK was around he would probably have said this however that system hasn't worked like it should have. I believe it's gone now too in mobafire.
The suggestion of game mode is also a good thing. mobafire has a lane guide selection system so it should easily be able to be implemented on SF too.
Some suggestions of my own is pretty much some more copy paste things cause mobafire (the fire sites in general need to be more the same) has them.
the threat bar in guides that people use to indicate how hard a matchup can be
It came around here a bit already but rank tags on peoples account. how to implement this is gonna be harder as you can't identify accounts as easily as LoL with the mastery page names. This way high lvl player guides are easier to find.
more awards (for on your profile, like the accoutn age or rep amount), we miss simple ones.
commendations so people can commend guides, also from mobafire.
subscription button to follow threads. the @notifications could also be added under this.
