Loki disappears in a puff of smoke. While invisible, he moves faster, removes Slow effects, and gains immunity to Slow effects. About the Author

Hello, I a decently experience Loki player ( 2.5 Thousand Worshipers ), and on an alternate account I have Anubis rank 10 and in gold 1. I am by no means a professional, I can't 1v1 grand-masters players by any chance, but I still consider myself pretty good at the game. My real name is Kareem, And I am from Egypt. My in-game name is KareemOsiris ( Don't ask Why ).

PS: This is not a pretty guide. If you want to improve, keep reading. If you only like guides that look good, leave now. Enjoy reading!

I also play League of Legends if anyone is interested in playing those games with me.

Pros / Cons

Column #1 Pros

1. Very high movement speed in stealth
2. Mobility
3. Burst
4. Wave Clear
5. High Chase/Escape potential
6. You can make enemies rage.
Column #2 Cons

1. You are not a Hercules or a Tyr, You CAN NOT engage by yourself
2. Extremely squishy
3. Can get caught out
4. Bad at higher levels of play
5. Predictable
6. No Dashes or Leaps ( outside of ult )

Abilities

This is Loki's Passive, Probably one of the strongest passives in the game. Its pretty simple actually, You just do more damage when attacking the enemy's back ( This applies so Gods, Minions, and Jungle Camps). This has no cool down. Apply this to increase your burst ( this is insanely helpful early game, as you have low damage when starting off).

Words can not describe how amazing this ability is. You gain so much for the 4 seconds you are invisible its insane. You can use this to cleanse or immune a slow, take less damage from a burst ability, become untargetable ( NOT unhittable ), to escape, to engage, or simply to burst. Sometimes just going invisible will make your opponent spiral into a frenzy of fear and panic ( this is sooo funny to watch ) making them waste key abilities or relics such as Aegis Amulet or Shield of Thorns or maybe even a Release The Kraken! or a Lightning Storm. This only works in low elo and low levels though. DO NOT TRY THIS IN RANKED!!!

PS: This is your most damaging ability, although it does damage in ticks

Decoy

Your wave-clear ability. You can also use this to tank jungle buffs and camps. If used properly can body-block basic attacks and some abilities such as World Weaver. Use this in the middle or on the archer minions and the melee minions will be drawn to it, and the archer minions will shoot at it. After a short duration it explodes, dealing decent damage to gods, and minuscule damage to gods. Will block basic attacks and single target skill shots.

Aimed Strike

This is your main damaging ability, and it also slows, which is nice. Its mainly for your burst combo, 1>AA>3>AA, but the slow can be used to chase down enemies, or say reduce mercury's power from Fastest God Alive.

This ability has 3 uses. Firstly: To execute low health enemies and steal kills. Yep you heard me STEAL ALL THE KILLS. But don't die. Secondly: to burst down a squishy that's in the back-line, but behind a tank. It goes like this: 1>4>AA>3>AA>Run Away. Lastly: To escape. ONLY USE THIS IN DIRE CIRCUMSTANCES. YOUR ULT HAS A VERY HIGH COOL-DOWN WITHOUT YOUR 30% CDR. simply ult in a direction that you want to go that doesn't have an enemy god in it ( can go over walls )

Items & Synergy

The Best boots for Loki by far as he has 100% physical power scaling on all of his abilities. Buying these boots give you the most burst and overall damage. All other boots are not viable on him.

The most absolute core item on Loki. It gives a massive amount of physical power and it gives him mana, which he desperately needs due to his insane mana costs. Get full stacks on this item an forget about mana problems for the rest of the game. ( gives 100 physical power when at full stacks and with Jotunn's Wrath ).

Do not go without this item in any of your games. Always buy it after your Transcendence and your Warrior Tabi. This Amplyfies your Combo and Increases your burst by a MASSIVE AMOUNT. It also gives cool-down reduction which Loki absolutely loves.

One of the best items for Loki and again, never go without it. Buy this fourth item after Hydra's Lament. Physical power, mana , CDR , and flat pen is AMAZING on him. Self explanatory.

The Only Time you would not get this item is against a full squishy team, which is extremely unlikely in the current meta. Tanks are broken and Titan's Bane is your Lord and Savior in that circumstance. Anyway, get this to shred enemy protections.

The Physical power is a Loki's wet dream. Get this to delete enemies and have enough health to delete the next ADC that tries to kill you. The life-steal is meh on him, but useful in clutch situations.

Power, Flat Pen, And a CDR kind of passive. Really nice. And I find that the attack-speed really helps when enemies are stacking health.

Get this if they have heals, or are stacking defense, or against multiple tanks, or the other items above don't suite your play-style. This is good against Aphrodite, Chang'e, Guan Yu, Tyr, Hel, etc.

and

Ahhhh rip the attack speed and crit Loki build that was viable in season 2. I guess it works against full squishy teams, but it reduces overall burst as you only burst when you crit, and it significantly reduces your objective damage, as you cant crit towers, phoenixes, titans, Apophis, Bull Demon King, and the Fire Giant. Just don't get this.

Early Game

Early game you have some damage, but not enough to delete a squishy, NOT YET. So, play passive, farm with your Decoy and Behind You! if possible, and engage when your team collapses on someone that cant escape and gang-bang him. You can kill half health squishies with your ult>AA>3>AA and then get the **** out of there with your stealth, but it's risky. It is extremely easy to kill a Loki in the early game due to his high cool-downs and high mana costs. HE is also very squishy and is used to getting deleted. DO NOT OVEREXTEND.

PS: You rely heavily on Behind You! in order to kill people early-mid.

Middle Game

So you have successfully made it to around level 10-13. You have at least 3-4 items and you have a fully leveled Aimed Strike and you see a squishy. Vanish behind them if possible then AA>3>AA and continue Auto attacking if they are alive. If they don't die quickly then you are focusing the wrong target. Focus Mages and Hunters for the most part, as other Assassins tend to wreck Loki if he can't outplay them. DO NOT FOCUS WARRIORS AND GUARDIANS UNLESS THEY ARE ALONE, OVEREXTENDING, OR YOU WILL INSTANTLY DIE. THEY WILL RAPE YOU WITH THEIR INSANE BASE DAMAGE AND TANKINESS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Late Game

This is Loki's time to shine. You see a lone mage or hunter? Delete their *** and add that 300 gold worth of dead ADC in your wallet. You see an assassin? bait their burst and then delete their health as well. You see someone tanky? RUN RUN RUN VERY FAR AWAY. Use your combo to kill, focus objectives and end the game. if you have been level 20 for more than 5 minutes its not gonna be a fun time anymore since you are melee. Ranged people and ranged people with escapes and CC will destroy you. END THE GAME AT ALL COSTS.

Ranked Play

Bronze to low Gold you should be fine. Don't play him in Gold 1 and above, you will get killed because Loki is predictable and easy to outplay if you are good.

Team Work

CC and CC cleansing is all you need from your teammates. A strong engager like Hercules or Bacchus works amazing for tanks.

Combos

Here are your main combos:

1. 1>AA>3>AA>AA

2. 1>AA>3>AA>2>AA

3. 4>AA>3>AA

4. 1>3>AA>AA

5. 1>2>AA>4>AA>3>AA

6. 1>2>4>AA>3>AA

I DO NOT RECOMMEND PERFORMING COMBO 4 UNLESS YOU HAVE HIGH PING, LOW FPS, OR HAVE EXTREMELY BAD MECHANICS, THIS LOWERS YOUR DAMAGE OUTPUT SIGNIFICANTLY.

PS: If you can walk behind them and don't need the damage from Vanish ( Example: an Anubis lazy backing ) then don't use Vanish and save it for an escape

Conclusion

Loki is extremely fun if played correctly. He can delete any squishy on the map but requires good mechanics and dodging. Anyways, Have fun haunting the map and remember, MAKE YOUR ENEMIES RAGE

Hi Darius, and welcome.

I'm almost fine linking your guide in my guide as a Conquest guide as you requested in your post on my guide, though I haven't linked any other guide in mine to this point, including Greenevers' guide, which is an extremely long-standing and wonderful guide.

For now, I'll start with some comments...I'm in full agreement with your general build items and progression. Here's what I'm not in agreement with...my personal opinion, of course, so take it or leave it.
  • If you suggest NOT getting an item, I wouldn't display it, at least not without some very big/obvious "Don't get these" prefacing it. Yes, I'm talking about Deathbringer and Malice, which are right in line with the items you DO suggest. Your writeup on these is fine, but some people just don't even read. And you do list them at the top as "niche items," but it's best not to encourage people to use them =P

  • Heartseeker, as far as I know, does NOT proc on Aimed Strike (or Vanish). That is a basic attack stim, and HS only works on abilities that actually do damage themselves. So, it would proc on Assassinate, but that's about it. Not worth it in my opinion. And if this is correct, your writeup on this item would need to be fixed.

  • Your start suggests Charged Morningstar and Chalice of Healing. I just don't think Chalice is all that good or necessary. You don't mention which role, but I'll assume Solo, so okay, you'll get the mana buff, right? You don't mention that in the early game or anywhere, but that's a good reason why you'd only get healing potions...but I think just a couple would do...you don't want to really engage early, so more mana potions could help on top of the mana buff, as you'll just be using your Decoy for wave clear and Vanishing when under pressure.

  • Again, assuming Solo...you're going to get wayyyyyy outpushed if you level the skills the way you suggest. You're going to need to put early points into Decoy, not Aimed Strike, which is really more effective once you've built up some items and at least gotten Hydra's Lament.

  • And as for abilities, ALL of your combos start with Vanish. Yikes! So, every time you attack, you seriously commit without much chance of escape? Vanish has its initiation purposes, absolutely, but you really, really want to have some combos that don't rely on it to initiate...you're left completely exposed if the fight turns sour. In many cases, you can surprise an enemy and just walk up to them, negating the need for Vanish. And as for combo #3... Assassinate is a teleport...why would you need Vanish unless you were trying to break through a front line to a squishy behind?
Hope this helps!

hey, thanks for the feedback, really aprreciatte it. :P

1. this guide is for non-conquest modes :)

2. I forgot about heartseeker

3. yeah, i thought people would read more about crit loki lol

4. I start with Vanish ince in other game modes I usually juke around and walk back behind my team.

5. I got chalice because from experience i think Loki benefits more from health sustain then he does mana sustain in other game mode like joust and arena.

6. Ill remove heartseeker, didnt know :P
