You know my team already, but for the ones who don't: This is a VGC 2014 team, meaning all pokemon are at level 50, it's doubles format, and you can only use pokemon from the Kalos pokedex. Oh, and Item Clause is active, so I can only have one of each item.

=== [vgc2014] Team Helm ===

V (Vivillon) (F) @ Focus Sash

Buzz (Rotom-Wash) @ Sitrus Berry

Calm Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Protect
- Will-O-Wisp
- Thunderbolt

Marx (Tyranitar) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sand Stream
Level: 50
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Rash Nature

Adamant Nature

The only thing I'm iffy about is Gallade's EV spread. I'm too lazy to do calcs myself so I just copypasted the EV spread of the standard Gardevoir, with Atk and SpAtk switched.

i ment your whole team for battles

I understood that, but I honestly can't say my competitive team is ready yet, and my in-game team is kinda sucky, but I'll put what I have so far:

Meganium- Leech Seed, Sludge Bomb, Frenzy Plant, and
Body Slam
Nature: Modest

Skarmory- Steel Wing, Fly, Toxic Spikes, and Spikes
Nature: Adamant

and the aforementioned Blastoise. Still looking for peeps to trade me a Hasty Houndour and a Modest Abra T.T

Entry hazards aren't so good in Doubles, because the games are often shorter and switch ins are less common. And if you are curb stomping the enemy hard enough to force them to switch, odds are you don't need the hazards anyway.

The only entry hazard I'd use in VGS is Stealth Rock, since it takes only one turn of setup for potentially more damage than Spikes or Toxic Spikes.

i dislike entry hazards as a whole but they can be very effective. especially if you have something that can force switching

Indeed. In singles, they're great, as you're switching practically every other turn. In doubles, it's just not worth the moveslot.

So should I replace Spikes with Air Cutter that is a dual-hitter, STAB, and crit. chance up?

This is the only Skarmory you see in competitive:

Skarmory @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 220 HP / 252 Def / 32 SpDef
Impish Nature
- Spikes
- Roost
- Whirlwind
- Brave Bird

BB still hurts hard, and it can take literally anything you can throw at it. Whirlwind is to phaze out opposing pokemon who try to set up on your doorstep, and you practically ALWAYS get three layers of Spikes.
