And this days person two posts winner goes to Zilby!
Now that I'm home and on worse internet that happens sometimes, I think my wifi just wavers the second the transaction is going through so it posts it twice for some reason. But hey, at least I'm one of the people that will go back and delete one of them when I see that it's happened.
The reddit and smite forums community despise Fish.
smitefire despises Ajax.
long rant/discussion material
but all of the things they've implemented is things that the community wanted for a long time.
(taking examples from r/ smite cause hirez doesn't listen to us)
reddit asked for a viable god with no escape for a long *** time, and when they got it, they were happy.
Smitefire, us, however, weren't. and im not talking about Skadi's balance right now, cause that's a cancerous discussion.
So reddit started liking Ajax, Smitefire started hating him.
A large portion of the community (Smitefire/Reddit are split on this) have complained about not having a hunter that is an aa focused hunter with a kit less focused on clear that is viable, so Throwing Dagger was buffed. now, 3/4 of the reddit community wanted it removed. so they did.
CC has been the topic of discussion for a long time at the start of s3. mainly, knockups. knockups is the strongest type of cc, since you cannot cleanse it in the air. thus, Jing Wei was born.
now, the Jing Wei case is weird, me and a large portion of the community thought she was weak, but the truth is, she was balanced. she just has the highest skill floor out of all hunters, maybe even in the entire game, and that brought us to an unnecessary Jing Wei buff.
and then, Susano was born. the r/ smite community *****ed at Fish for "not being creative enough" so he made his most creative god, Susano. but what happened?
Smitefire loved him, r/ smite hated him.
i won't get into Susano's balance discussion right now cause that is also a cancerous discussion.
now, the wrost of the wrost and the most op god to be released this year: reworked Ratatoskr.
Reddit and the Ratatoskr community has been *****ing at hirez to rework him and keep his damage in mobility aspects, while giving him cc, but, the thing that broke him, is his damage and having a ****ton of mobility.
and hirez had a limited time. Reddit and twitch chat was *****ing at them every patch "WHERE THE **** IS MY REWORKED RATATOSKR!" so they were under a lot of stress, and what came out is a horrible and completely broken and overpowered result.
now, what happened is r/smite didnt hate Ajax. but smitefire hated him more. now, im not saying thats biased, but this is different from the pattern that we see here. the community is completely split, and thats proof.
Guan Yu's passive has been hated on by the community by being too unoriginal. so they made it original.
Odin has been hated on for not fitting his lore, i think his new passive suits his lore more, but hirez did not want to deal with the countless Odin mains that love his passive, so they kept it.
now, the final example, Erlang Shen. all Fish wanted to do, was create a god that the community likes by creating an exciting kit from the things that the community loves.
His passive is a dog that deals bonus damage, Skadi is the 6th most popular god in the entire game.
his 1 is like Bakasura's Butcher Blades, which has been known as being super fun to play and exciting.
his 2 is like Khepri's root, which is the most popular support after Ymir.
now, what im saying is, the designers are not 100% pure, i admit, i dont like Fish and i love Ajax, but i may start appreciating Fish more, because i realize that the community is in charge for these crimes.
tl;dr: we should start blaming the designers less and realize that there will always be a part of the community that will not be happy.

For your question z, it'll be easy I think. One will be called "72 transformations (sw)" and the other will be "72 transformations (es)"
If you recall from season 1,there was one item I think... Like greaves... That was called the same thing for magical and physical gods. So they had the (p) and (m), right?
I still don't understand the reasoning behind Golden Bow removal.
I mean, Golden Bow existed for a long time, and was considered useless, except on Mercury.
Was it so hard to understand that the problem is not Golden Bow but Throwing Dagger as a starter item ?
I they would have just retracted what they "tried", everything would become like before.
But sadly, Mercury is paying the price for this.
