Pros / Cons For Athena

- Great sustain
- great damage output
- Can dive towers easily mid to late game
- Great at initiating team fights
- First god to have a Taunt which is amazing all round CC
- Ult can you be used defensively or for offensively

- Very low damage early game
- Not great at ganking untill level 5
- auto attack is very slow

Key Bind: Passive

After using any ability, Athena's next basic attack is a ranged attack, hitting all enemies it passes through, and dealing additional magic damage. Damage: Basic Attack (+50% of your magical power).

Preemptive Strike

Key Bind: 1

Athena powers up for a dash. While dashing, Athena will pass through minions and stop and hit the first enemy god she encounters, dealing damage and slowing all she hits. If she hits an enemy, Athena gains one stack of Block (max 3), absorbing the next basic attack from any god that hits her. Damage: 80/13/180/230/280 (+50% of your magical power). Slow Amount: 25%. Slow Duration: 1.25/1.5/1.75/2.0/2.25s. Cost: 60/70/80/90/100. Cooldown: 15/14/13/12/11s.

Key Bind: 2

Athena releases a shockwave of power from her shield, taunting enemy gods, and forcing them to fight or chase her. Taunt Duration: 1.0/1.25/1.5/1.75/2.0s. Cost: 60/65/70/75/80. Cooldown: 18s.
Shield Wall

Key Bind: 3

Athena summons a group of Athenian warriors who do damage upon arrival, and after 2s strike for additional damage. Initial Damage: 40/75/110/145/180 (+50% of your magical power). Secondary Damage: 80/150/220/290/360 (+50% of your magical power). Cost: 60/65/70/75/80. Cooldown: 14s.
Defender of Olympus

Key Bind: 4

Athena picks a single allied god anywhere in the world, and launches herself up into the air, landing next to that god 4.2 seconds later. During that 4.2 seconds, the allied god mitigates 50% of the damage it's taken. Enemies nearby when Athena lands take damage. Damage: 350/500/650/800/950 (+100% of your magical power). Allied mitigation: 50%. Cost: 80/90/100/110/120. Cooldown: 90s.

Get level one ofand level 2 of
First of all buy meditation for the sustainability, because if you are facing someone good then they will want to deal some tower damage any time to recall staying in your lane as much as possible reason for getting Reinforced boots because this really helps with survivability when gods use any CC on you, and anyway to reduce CC is great.

Finiah off Reinforced boots then getfeeling more aggressive but still want to be tanky always get Void Stone,

after you finished getting Void Stone get Wall of Absolutionone of the best physical defense items for magic tanks

at this point you will have very little Magic damage for my fourth item i goTHIS BEAST of a item gives you a insane amount of damage output with 1 and 3 ability

Next item you will be wanting to go some penetration i preferThis combined with Rod of Tahuti and Bancroft's Talon you will win most one on one fights and that's awesome for a tank.

Last item i obtain iswhich adds a nice bit of life steal and tremendous amount of damage

Creeping / Jungling

The only 2 jungleing buffs i always try and get are Cooldown and Mana regan.

Team Work

When entering a team fight, gank or just a 1v1 you ALWAYS enter the fight withPreemptive Strike. Then useShield Wall andstraight away and follow up with auto attacks if desired

When you require to make an escape or take a step back you should firstly use Preemptive Strikeif that fails use Defender of Olympusas a last resort.

Team Fights

After you drop in the fight with Preemptive Strike then you use Shield Wall with Confound to give yourself and your team a little advantage in the fight use Defender of Olympus on your melee carrys if the enemy team is bunched together.

Thank you for taking a look at my Athena guide, i almost Win every game with this build because its just so hard for people to kill Athena, unless of course the whole team ganks you. Which you shouldn't let that happen always watch the map good advice i know XD
Play it safe until level 5 and you should do fine watch your team and their lanes for opportunist Ult Ganks.

The guide is not bad... but I don't think you saw what I've said to everyone else.

Builds like this, in which are rushed and are for a God that was just released, are unprofessional and give the impression that you just want one of the first guides.

The guide is not bad, but it is obviously rushed. It would be preferable if you actually took the time to really learn the God before you make a guide.

The build is one of the better I've seen in these... guides.

I'm not going to get pissed like I did yesterday, but know that I don't like it. This guide clearly shows that you rushed it.
