Hey guys, we've just created an official SMITEFire server on Discord, a really cool communication app that we can use to meet, talk and play together.
The rules of our Discord channel are:
Your Discord account must be verified
You can invite your friends in but you're responsible for their actions
Respect every member, be nice and friendly
If a voice channel is occupied by a party, do not join without their permissions
We are looking into cool features to add for us, hopefully in time we'll have one great and fun Discord channel! Also, if you do stream often, we can feature your Stream over in our Discord Stream channel where people will get notified whenever you go LIVE!
Editors, Veterans and Moderators have special ranks; we're gonna implement more stuff in time.
Please PM me or ask here for an invite and I'll send you one via PM if you'd like to join. Or you can use the link posted above (should work, I hope). Please use your SMITEFire name on Discord so we know who you are!
The better question might not be how is it better than Curse, but why should you join?
Well, to that, the best reason is because this is officially supported by the admins...don't think they've created a Curse version.
Another reason is that the basic server can host separate chat and voice channels within the same main group.
Also, depending on what functions are enabled in the channels, there are many more potential features compared to Curse.
Personally, the Curse phone app has always been very buggy to me...less so lately (maybe they've gotten their act together).
But the nice thing about Curse is that it's supported by SMITE with direct in-game functionality. I dunno, I don't care which voice chat we use when we play.
