Breakdown of Treasure Chests (Content and Info)

I was bored and figured I'll make a list of all the content available from the treasure chests in the upcoming patch in detail, along with every piece of information you need to know.

*Item list is updated up to and including the Cabrakan Patch (August 19th, 2014)*

Info regarding Treasure Chests:

• Costs are 200 Gems per chest.
  
• You can buy 10 at the time.
• You can only open 1 chest at the time, so if you plan to buy 100 chests, it will take you a while to open them all.
• The lowest gem value you'll get out of the chest is 300 Gems (Ward Skins)
• You will NEVER get something you already own, thus increasing the chances of obtaining rarer items.
• Treasure Chests only contain items exclusively available via Gem purchase, meaning no items that can be purchased with favor are included.
• Certain special promotional items are excluded, including; Poolseidon, Cacodemon, Tiermonster Ward, TSM Apollo, Iron Gamer Thor.
• You CAN get Skins and Voice Packs for gods you do NOT own.(They will become available when you unlock the god)
• Convention Skins are INCLUDED from the Treasure Chests
  
  Special Note: When you get to the point where Treasure Chests are empty, this means you have obtained everything there is to gain from the chests.
  The chests won't get consumed when they are empty.
  You will be able to use them when new content is added.

Rarity of items included in treasure chests:

• Epic: Convention Skins &Holiday Skins
• Rare: Exclusive Chest Content (Derpules, Nuclear Winter and Player Icons).
• Uncommon: 600 Gem Skins (Skins with altered voice packs)
• Common: 400 Gem Skins (Does NOT include Golden Skins)
• Common: 300 Gem Ward Skins
• Common: 200 Gem Emotes + 3 Day Boosters
• Common: 200 Gem Voice Packs + 3 Day Boosters (Normally costing 300 Gems, bringing the value to 500 Gems)
  A note on these: When you have obtained every Voice Pack, you will and can no longer get this Chest Reward, meaning you won't get any boosters at all anymore either from the Treasure Chests, untill new characters are introduced with their own Voice Pack.
  Same goes for the Emotes that were introduced with the Cabrakan patch.
  
  
• Special Feature: There is always a 5% chance for a bonus roll, meaning an extra chest.

• 14 Ward Skins (300 Gems Each)
• 10 Player Icons (9 Treasure Chest Exclusive)
• 4 Emotes
  
  Bringing the total to 139 items that can be obtained from the chest
  Costing a maximum total of 27800 Gems (Excluding the 5% chance free extra chests)
  Buying everything individually would cost a total of 57700 Gems (including 3 day boosters and excluding the unobtainable items via gems).
  You basically save 31500 Gems if you buy everything using Treasure Chests, plus you can get the Chest Exclusives.

As for the system itself, I actually quite like it. As you've stated, you'll never get anything worth less than what you've spent, and you've got plenty of chances to get some pretty good stuff. And sadly, it's the style of gambling that can get me a bit hooked: give money, and you get something in return, but you don't know what. Actually the main reason I play so much Assault: I love seeing what I will randomly get.

So yeah, I'm sure I'll be throwing some money at this, even though I don't play Smite as much as I used to.

I did some calculations on my end for what I need.
and ended up with having to buy 44 chests to obtain everything that I don't have yet.
I did buy all the VP's I was missing (about 30) when the VP sale day was here though, so that was a big money saver.
It kinda shocked me how much money I have spend on this game already.
I stil have 3300 gems, but buying an 8000 gem pack tomorrow to get it all covered, and have some left for stuff like Golden Skins.

I am happy that they did this, cause for people who like to collect everything, it is a big money saver in the end.
