Ravana - Season 4 Guide

April 12, 2017

Ravana, The Demon King of Lanka

Rapture here bringing you my FIRST EVER guide here on SmiteFire :-) As this is my first guide, any and all (constructive) criticism is welcome!

I've been playing Smite since the beginning of Season 3, and I've found the Solo Lane is my most comfortable role, and Ravana is one of my most comfortable warriors.

]In this guide I hope to cover
Skills and Combos

Health: 470 (+82)
Mana: 230 (+35)
Speed: 375 (+0)
Range: 12 (+0)
Attack/Sec: 1 (+1.4%)
HP5: 7 (+0.63)
MP5: 4.8 (+0.4)

Magical: 30 (+0.9)
Physical: 16 (+2.9)
Basic Attack
Damage: 35 (+2) (+20% of Magical Power)
Progression: .75/.5/1.25

Pros / Cons

  • Good CC
  • Excellent Sustain early game
  • Damage immune #2
  • Gets health shield after 8 basic attacks
  • Decent scaling means you can throw out good damage if needed
  • Only real escape is his ult, Mystic Rush
  • Long cool down on Overhead Kick limits the damage immunity
  • Can be bursted down easily if caught out of position or with Overhead Kick on cool down
  • Late game damage isn't the greatest

Patch 4.6 - Racer Rumble

Chain of Blows

Prana Onslaught

Overhead Kick

10-Hand Shadow Fist

Mystic Rush

None of Ravana's combo's are too crazy to pull off. The trickiest part is just hitting your abilities, which comes with practice.

+ Use 10-Hand Shadow Fist to lock down and opponent and Prana Onslaught to slow them down so you stick to them better. Combine this with Frostbound Hammer and enemies will have a hard time running from you without using a dash/leap
+ + While Mysitc Rush is your only real escape, it can also be used to initate a fight. Leap in and hit a group of eneimes with Prana Assault to slow them and let your team dive in. You can follow it up with a hot 10-Hand Shadow Fist on anyone low or trying to escape
Yea... I put overhead kick as a combo by itself. But always keep in mind that this ability give you damage and CC immunity during the kick animation. Early game, you can tower dive with Mystic Rush or just chasing the enemy under tower, then finish them off with Prana Onslaught and 10-Hand Shadow Fist (especially if you started with Bluestone Pendant for that extra DoT damage.) The use Overhead Kick to dodge a blast from the tower and save yourself some health.

During team fights, you can use this to dodge enemy ults. There's nothing more satisfying that dodging I'm a Monster from Scylla or Release The Kraken! from Poseidon. Just practice your timing and you'll get it down.

95% of the time, go Warrior Tabi on Ravana. The early game power is nice and obvious movement speed is obvious. The other 5%, I go Reinforced Greaves. You won't deal as much damage, but the extra tankiness can help if you're getting ganked alot.

Your second full item should always be defense. Are you against a hunter like Neith or Izanami? Build Hide of the Nemean Lion. Ymir or Sobek your dance partner? Build Bulwark of Hope. Going against a healer like Chang'e or Hel?
Pestilence will be your best friend.
The key here (and overall for solo laners) is counter building. Don't settle for the same build every game. Watch your opponent and build items that willl be most effective against them.

For offensive options, again, it's about counter-building. If they have a ton of healing,
Brawler's Beat Stick may be the way to go. If you wanna stick to your opponent better, choose Hastened Fatalis or Frostbound Hammer. For straight damage, consider Qin's Sais, The Executioner, or Stone Cutting Sword
