[*] Starter - Death's Toll is your go-to starter item because not only do you have a cleave auto attack in your chain, but your getting an extra proc from your dog on every hit. This combined with the chalice and healing potions will give you more than enough sustain. Obviously go Bumba's Mask if you are jungling. Lately, I really like buying a Swift Wing instead of teleport. It gets you back to lane before losing too much experience and it also frees up a relic slot to help your team out. For my relics i usually go Magic Shell and Heavenly Wings.
[*] Ninja Tabi - This item is the basis for the build. This build takes advantage of Erlang's dog and how it procs on-hit effects. The more attack speed you have, the more you can proc these effects. The mana and physical power a also helpful.
[*] Ichaival/Silverbranch Bow - These are two of the most powerful bridge items in the game. The attack speed is huge, but the passive is bigger. It creates a huge swing in power in your favor when you're boxing. Go Ichaival if you're against physical and Silverbranch if you're against magical. (Added Bonus: it only takes 2 autos to reach max stacks because your dog procs it).
[*] Frostbound Hammer - Another great boxing item. This combined with the passive Hastened Katana effect from your mink makes you impossible to get away from without a dash or a leap. The health also makes you A LOT tankier.
[*] Stone Cutting Sword - INSANE power spike. Similar passive to Ichaival, but it steals protections instead of power.(Added Bonus: it only takes 2 autos to reach max stacks because your dog procs it).
[*] Soul Eater - Erlang benefits from every stat this item gives, but much like the other items in this build, you get it for the passive. Only sell Death's Toll for this item if you can finish ALL of Soul Eater. At this point in the game, you will be healing for too much for someone to kill you. You and your dog both proc it, so you heal for 4% of your max health every time you hit a god.
[*] Qin's Sais - With all the attack speed that you've gotten, you'll be able to proc this item's passive very often. Your dog doesn't help too much with this because his proc is only 15% of the damage yours does, but it's still extra damage. Sell Swift Wing for this if you bought it.
[*] The Executioner - Sell Ichaival/Silverbranch for this. This combined with Stone Cutting Sword give you more than enough penetration to kill any tank. At this point it should go without saying, but it only takes 2 autos to reach max stacks because your dog procs it.

I notice that you used the bbcode for bullet points...at the beginning, you'll need to add "list" in single brackets. Then your [*] will show as true bullet points.

In a case where you want to rely on that Fatalis effect from 72 and NOT get Frostbound Hammer, I would probably suggest building a counter item in this same 2nd item position, at least when playing Conquest Solo-Lane...this is how most do it, I think.
Also based on your first comment on Death's Toll it actually procs twice on all basic attacks since his passive also procs it. So every hit he gains double the health and mana, making it way better for him and allowing him to have an early boxing potential.
EDIT: Qin's Sais is certainly core for him cause his passive proc, and I would not recommend Frostbound Hammer since you have enough cc to lock down a single target plus a fatalis effect.
