Introduction

Hey everyone, my name is CrimsonSkies (my IG name is Naradak). I'm an experienced
SMITE player (I have been playing since 2014). I am by no mean a pro, in fact, i still have
much to learn, but recently i hopped on Kukulkan, serpents of the nine winds , and i'm
having a blast! This is my very first guide, so I hope you guys will enjoy, and please, give
me feedback and advices!. Also, excuse my grammar mistakes, for english is not my native
language, so withou further ado, let's get started!

Pros / Cons

Pros:
-Incredible AoE damage
-Good chase/escape with Zephyr and Slipstream
-Excellent waveclear
-Great in teamfigths
-Simple

Cons:
-Squishy
-No real escape
-Stack dependant
-Easily focused

Skills

Power Of The Wind Jewel

Kukulkan's passive is what makes this god so powerful. His passive works really well with items like Book of Thoth

Zephyr

This skill is mostly usefull to either escape/chase but can deal ridiculous damage late game!

Slipstream

Not much to say on this skill, use as a chase/escape.

Whirlwind

This is your main skill as Kukulkan it works as a great waveclear and it deals a lot of damage over time, great to put pressure on your ennemy.

Spirit Of The Nine Winds

Your ultimate. it deals incredible AoE damage, with the potential to one hit squishies late game. migth be hard to hit without CCing the target first.

Items

Book of Thoth is a must have on Kukulkan as it gives him a great amount of magical power and mana, wich works great with his passive, Power of the Wind Jewel to give him even more magical power. I choose to pick this item first to build stack ASAP.

I see you coming, why pick Shoes of Focus instead of Shoes of the Magi? again, because of our passive, Power of the Wind Jewel, wich makes it so that the difference in power is almost none(2.5 power exactly), so unless you really need that 10 penetration, Shoes of Focus will be the better choice for the mana and cooldown reduction.

So wether or not you pick Doom Orb will depend of you, if you see you die often, pick Gem of Isolation instead, as Doom Orb is only worth it at 30+ stacks.

Soul Reaver is a most for all mage build. It is just too good to pass on, plus it gives mana, wich means, even more power thanks to Power of the Wind Jewel!

Again, a must have item, pick this item 5th, and your power will really go up!

This is your last item, it gives a lot of power, and penetration. The passive allows you to cast Whirlwind two times in a row if you kill someone with it. However, it is a really expensive item, if you think the game is gonna end before you can finish it, go for Obsidian Shard or Gem of Isolation if you did not pick it.

That's it for the items, now for some tips and tricks!

Tips and how to play.

At the begining of the game, warn your team that you will build stacks and proceed to clear minions with Whirlwind, You can go and help during teamfigths to try and fetch a kill, but keep an eye out for those minions!

Before using Whirlwind on an enemy god, try and use Zephyr first, so the slow ensure you will hit them with Whirlwind.

You best friend is Nox as her first ability, Shadow Lock will ensure you land Spirit of the Nine Winds and, late game, probably secure a kill for your team.

Kukulkan is a very squishy god, as soon as you see a god is trying to kill you, use Slipstream and maybe even Sprint to get away, especially if you picked up Doom Orb

I hope you enjoyed this guide, please leave your feedback in the comments section, down bellow!

Kukulkan is my favorite of all the mage class gods.

also i thought of a way of decrease the escape chance of spirit's hit for a single enemy. first hit an enemy with zephyr while haveing gem of isolation. then pop a whirlwind in front of them causing them to step back and try to go around so they don't take damage from it. then when they try to go pop your ult to hit them and if they don't die they will get pushed into whirlwind since spirit pushes them to the side if they are hit and are still standing.

If anyone is interested, there is a way to get KUKU up to 1000+ power.
Build is, in order: shoes of focus. warlock's sash. book of thoth. ethereal staff. doom orb. rod of tahuti.
with full stacks of everything, and kuku's passive, power comes in at 1085 power. No pen tho :(

So realtalk, just out of curiosity did you just hold down F5 on the page? I just don't understand how or why this guide has 828 THOUSAND views in 4 months, on a god that's completely out of meta and for a guide that's not conquest based. Like I'm not saying the guide is bad, although it definitely needs some updating but 828281 views (At the time of writing) just doesn't seem natural to me. No BM intended, just curious.

The bigger part of the casual players dont go for coquest. Also why you say that he is out of the meta??
1
GameGeekFan (50) | December 27, 2016 12:21pm
He is not in the meta at all or barely. The pro player that ever used him was MLCStealth and he stopped using him in replace of Scylla and Nox. He simply needs alot more setup then other mages.

The more competitive people are conquest players, and do not underestimate their playerbase. Conquest people are more likely to look at guides for help since it is a vast gametype and the core one as well. Besides, Estidien wrote this on July.

Thanks to all for the feedback! I will update this guide really soon. Also i would like to know if you think a Nemesis guide would be good?

I don't think you should do any more guides if you're not going to bother to update our fix very obvious mistakes almost two months after they were pointed out to you.

Because of the lack of alternate builds and never coming back to do anything about the mistakes you made it looks like you slapped this together as quick as you could on a spur of the moment idea to try to get into the community. It shows how little you care about the work you do and makes me not want to even give this build a try because if you don't give a **** about it why should anyone else?
