SHUT OFF, NO ANUBIS ON TOURNAMENTS, OK MUAS? OR ELSE I'LL PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE.
Btw, I would join if they make a South American/BR server. It's impossible to go competitive with the high 150~300 Ping I always receive when I play the game.
In all seriousness, we'd need Mowen's or someone else'd approval. Since we will be running a Smitefire flag in tournaments. If we do poor, the website's reputation could be at harm. I doubt Mowen would want to risk it.
I agree with Thiel. I doubt we'd run in tournaments, though, let's be honest. We have a few VERY good players in here that compete well in ladders (TT is a top tier arena player), but almost none of us have very legitimate standing on either soloqueue or 5v5 conquest. If anything, we'd simply be playing ranked for fun.
Not to squash any dreams, but I doubt we're going to be up there with Dignitas and Cog and Denial. Heh.

Yup, it's very unlikely it'd become top tier.
Still, the EU Casual tournaments are super accesible and probably have a fair number of spectators too. (while carrying very varied skilled teams)
Either way, if we plan on going competitive past the point of ranked into actual organized matches, I think we should ask Mowen for permission. The publicity can be either positive - we do well - or negative - we do poorly. - It's a risk, and the owner/holder of Smitefire should decide if he wants to take it.
ps - for anyone with the power to decide -: I don't feel that having a Smitefire clan that only does casual queue's holds any risk though, especially since the clantag isn't portraying Smitefire in a obvious way. So even if we are unlucky enough to have a BMer, it shouldn't harm Smitefire. In tournaments however, the name is often displayed.
But, if we do have the players AND skill. Someone will have to ask Mowen like theil says.
Also I need someone to tell me: Do we actually have the players WITH the skill to be able to survive the tournament and who they are they?
Wouldn't it be nice though if we at least made it pass qualifier. If we could show our name at the first round I'd be happy.

If anything, there's an opportunity to learn and get better by playing against experienced teams. The best tournament players don't just happen all of a sudden, it's because they know the ins and outs of their role and have the experience to deal with every sort of situation.
And I'd be down for competitive. If I can actually get an invite to clan. Despite the lengthy discussion in the other topic, still nothing :/
Well, we would need to hold some kind of meeting with at least half of our members. Especially those who are interested. Then talk about forming the team/s. Then schedule practices etc.
But right now. I want to see who's REALLY interested. The next posts after this mention if you want to form the teams.
