Here's the thing. They didn't use his idea. The skin has no chainsaw, nothing to do with a chainsaw, and likely no reference to chainsaws. They just took the obvious route of "he has an axe, so let's make him an axe murderer" and rolled with it.
Also true, this guy probably got lucky on guessing the next skin, we could all probably predict skins based on world events (e.g. Athena olympic skin and Xbal soccer skin)
