Gaming Mouse.

So I got this pet mouse. Thought him how to play Dota 2. His really good and is now one of the top 20 players in the leader board. I'm thinking of making him go pro and me as his manager....

Just jking. Just wanted to ask. Is using a gaming mouse an advantage with all those extra buttons? Or is there little difference when you can just use the keyboard?

I dunno, I guess it gives a tiny advantage.

It's usually for games where you have a ****-load amounts of options and shortcuts (usually RTSes, like Rise of Nations).

My mouse only has 2 of those extra buttons.

my brother uses a gaming mouse too. it's mostly shortcut's. you can like put the smite skills on the numbers on the side (he has that)

Doesn't really make too much of a difference except for accessibility with your right hand. I tried some unless you're gonna bind a huge number of keys, it ain't worth it for the casual gamer.

It can be useful for using items that you may need at near reflex speeds. Personally, I don't use the two side buttons I have on my mouse for Smite, but if I'm playing an FPS or something for example, I'll bind my melee attack and my grenade to the two buttons for easy access since my thumb already rests near those buttons for quick access.

Again, it really all depends on what you want to use it for. I suppose it can be useful in Smite if you want to use the side buttons for you actives or something. However, I wouldn't consider this an advantage or anything.

Mine has two extra buttons, but I still use the keyboard for actives in Smite. I have them set on Q and E so it's pretty handy this way.

I don't think having commands rebound to mouse keys is an advantage if one is fast enough at reaching certain keys on the keyboard.

Well, I just bought myself a relatively cheap gaming mouse. Has 3 extra buttons. 2 at the left side and one next to the scroll wheel (Which I have no idea what's its for since I can't seem to bind it to anything in Smite lol) Also. It glows in 6 different colors xD
