Hi!

Welcome to this weird guide or tip guide! (What did I just type) Just call me Lilly if you need to. I hope these tips are usefull, and I appreachiate any corrections or extra info in the comments. Please excuse my weird spelling or grammar mistakes ^-^" Don't be afraid to add me on Smite! Ign: ThatWeirdgirl.

(Weird but hopefully helpfull) Tip number one! :D

Okay, so lets start with picking a gamemode. Don't get me wrong, if you want to play Siege, you play Siege! But It would probably be a little handier to start with something small. Obviously you want to play a few Co-op games first. There is a BIG difference between a bot and an actual person controlling that irritating Ymir! Keep in mind that there ARE going to be a few Smurfs out there!
(No, not those small blue people that sing: 'La, La, Lalalala, sing a happy song~!). But basically people that also play on another account with lvl 30 and 70 god masteries. Yeaah, annoying... But some do it so they can help new people so that's good! But back to the topic we gooo! So yeah. Personally I'd suggest Joust.

Joust is a gamemode that only involves 3 players and one lane with side jungle camps. It makes it easier to focus on your enemy and well, it's not really all that complicated!

(Weird but hopefully helpfull) Tip number two! :D

So now I'm gonna give you a quick summary of the roles! As a beginner though, I would suggest going a hunter or mage. Play it safe and stay back while dealing damage!

You wanna be sneaky? You wanna be like: 'Boop ur dead and u didn't even see me!'?
That's assasin for you! Though I highly DONT recomment this role/class. You have very high attack and such, but you can be killed VERY easily when pinned down.

Loki gets hit by Neith's Spirit arrow?
Dead

Loki gets hit by Ymir's freeze?
Dead

Loki gets hit by Isis' stunball?
Dead

[TRRRIPLE KILL!]

You wanna be a hero? You wanna make your team love you? Try playing the guardian role! Not many players appreachiate this role, but without you, there probably wouldn't even be kills! You are there to help your allies get the kill and protect them from getting killed. Dont over extend though! Stay with your team!

You wanna deal damage but you're too shy to get in their face? Do not worry, here's the mage role for you! Wether you picked a glass cannon(?) or not, you are the main damage dealer... kinda. POKE THOSE ENEMIES WITH THOSE ABILITIES! (After clearing that wave of minions tho!) Is what mage kind of is about. Of course depending on your god you might just stay back and help your team. You might deal a lot of damage but you wanna refrain from being on the front lines. Stay back and deal annoying poke damage! :D

Are you good at aiming? Did you always hit those zombies with that bow and arrow in minecraft? Be a hunter! Just like mages you stay in the back. But you dont rely on your abilities that much. It's those basic attacks that really matter!

You wanna deal decent damage but also have a decent defense? Go warrior! It is a rather complicated role, I have to be honest. You are there to get in the enemies face AND deal damage. Though you need to know when you need to fall back and when you think its a good idea to start a fight

(Weird but hopefully helpfull) Tip number three! :D

Phew, here finally is an actual tip!

-Only innitiate when you have your escape ability

This can make a HUGE difference in getting the kill or getting killed. NEVER go in using your escape move! Some scenarios are exceptional but if a Neith backflips into a group of enemies, she basically just commited suicide!

This also means it would be handier to pick a god with an escape move. I know Ra is one of the five free gods but he doesn't really have an escape. So in other words, pick gods that have a leap or dash ability

(Weird but hopefully helpfull) Tip number four! :D

-Stay with your team

I know it's a bold statement but stay with your team. I KNOW there are a lot of players who think that they can handle that Ah puch and Amaterasu on their own. But no. You can't. Team work is key here, together a unit alone a target

(Weird but hopefully helpfull) Tip number five! :D

-Ignore the bm people

Yes, in the beginning you suck, we all did! Even the guy that's spamming the chat with words in full caps. Geez so salty! You can always mute the person! Don't worry! Skill takes practise!

(Weird but hopefully helpfull) Tip number six! :D

-Focus on one god

No, don't focus that freya that's been spam laughing and spam taunting you in game. Focus on the god you're playing. Dont jump from Medusa to Hun Batz! Try to only play that one specific god. Maybe even try to find a guide! (Watch god reveals! They are REALLY handy!

Btw if someone spam laughs or taunts just win the game and spam laugh or taunt at their titan >;)

Savage...

Anyways, you have some good tips here, although I would probably mention the whole Auto-Buy and Auto-Skill functions, as well as the God Builder. New players tend to rely on these far too much, and need to stray away from the Auto-Buys and find a build that works for them. While I agree that you probably should practice in coop a little before playing in PvP, you'll be fine if you just complete the entire tutorial map. I'd also recommend for those playing on console to change your sensitivity right away, as the default is much too low for smooth combat maneuvers. But that's just my thoughts :P
