Hello, this is my first contribution to smitefire.
please forgive me if this is not a up to par with other guides, it'll be a work in progress.traps Obviously this is for thanatos in which I'm a level 10 Thanatos an the build you see before is the one I generally use. Occasionally I do modify it on the fly.
Before I continue I also usually have beads as the other active, I just couldn't find them for this.
(Those being used to get you away from *Expamle:
Ares pull,
Hades pull & slow,
xing tians throw,
fenrirs carry,
Artemis traps
ect...)
OK so the first thing you see is for cooldowns (I had been purchasing the 2 for cooldowns first, but recently tweaked it) the reason I put these first is they put your cooldown to 35 of 40 this allows me more uses on abilities & my ult.
( seems weird I know but it works for me)
The boots I'll trade out depending on the match. Those along with the active speed boost allow for a fast retreat if needed, even against faster opponents.
The frostbound hammer I have there to slow obviously.
Now the rage & deathbringer are for crit % increase along for power.
Now depending on the circumstances I'll trade out death bring for hastened fatalis or frost for malice.
This build maybe a little unorthodox but I've found it to work for me.
If anyone has suggestions please feel free to comment an I'll see how it works.
Again please excuse this "guide" if it's not like others, as I said it's my first one.
If I do another I'll try to improve it.
I hope this might be useful for someone.
Have fun with the game & happy hunting.

Also for me your Thanatos build isn't really unorthodox. I have been used and find that a hybrid thanathos build works better as his late game damage from his abilities are a lot less.
I only prefer to go more to the unicorn style so your abilities still get some more damage.
The only point I don't like is the Winged Blade as Thanatos' Scent of Death already provides slow immunity. I prefer to get some protections here (mostly duo protection like Shifter's Shield or something from the Cloak tree with Spirit Robe being a good choice for more CDR)
Also in your tweaks you put Warrior Tabi again instead of Ninja Tabi (maybe a mistake?)
For your tweaks I wouldn't switch out death bringer for Hastened Fatalis, I would switch out the Frostbound Hammer instead as they sort of give the same effect.
And when you go for Malice I would switch Rage out for it (as since the S3 Rage nerf Malice is a stronger pick)
so now some tips for your build guide:
You forgot to discuss when you take Asi
You could add your starter build (what you buy at game start) and/or separate the actives from the main build (looks cleaner)
And I would like to request you to add a skill order (and explain it)
maybe add in some BBcode e.g. colours in your pros and cons part or the double [ code which gives effects like Death Scythe
I hope you can do some nice things to your build guide (and maybe even your own build) with some of the feedback. Before I consider upvoting this I would like to see a skill order though.
Don't forget that you can choose what you want to do with this feedback/critisism.
If you want to change this into a "real" guide (not a build guide) you would need to include some more chapters (mostly on how to play Thanatos). Just ask if you want to know what more to include to go to a more depth guide.
