Items

Starter

An item that gives a decent amount of magical power for early game and gives you the ability to start the game with 10% CDR. Also we should never forget the MP5 and MP regeneration passive it gives is so useful for early stages of the game, when most mages are mana hungry.
Even more MP and another MP regeneration passive. But the main reason for getting this item is the first passive.
Each time you hit an enemy with AA, you gain a stack. At 5 stacks, your next ability consumes the stacks and you gain a 40 M.Power buff. That is just insane.
Combine this with 20 M.Power from Sands of Time and the 20 M.Power of the Soul Stone itself and you'll end up with 80 M.Power, in early game. Yes you only have that power for 3s but 3s is more than enough for you to dumb your corpses on someone and melt them.
Now you must have 100 gold left if you have purchased the starter items.
Please note that you should purchase the starter items only if you are playing conquest. You don't need to use almost any starter item in any mode other than conquest.
About the item itself, it regenerates HP upon use and you can carry up to 5 pots of the same type. There is nothing else to say about this item.
If you are playing conquest, DO NOT purchase mana pot as you already have enough MP regeneration thanks to the starter items. If you are playing other game modes, then feel free to purchase a few but again, if you decided to use starter items in other game modes too, don't buy pots as those two starter items ,combined, give enough MP regeneration for early game.

Core

Provides movement speed, M.Power and Penetraion. A must for pretty much all gods especially for Ah Puch who doesn't have any movement ability.
The best penetration item for gods with burst damage. It gives 33% Penetration which means all of your attacks ignore 33% of enemies armor.
Some people may think that buying penetration is useless but trust me, having 600 M.Power with pen is much better than having 750 M.Power without pen.
The core item for all mages. It gives a ridiculous amount of M.Power and the passive gives an extra 40% M.Power. That is huge!

Offense

The best CDR item for mages. It gives good chunk of power and 25 MP5 which is perfect. The main reason you may want to get this item is because of that 20% CDR that it gives.
The passive can be ignored as, -1 from abilities every 10s is not really useful.
One of the best items that Ah Puch can benefit from. The reason you are getting this is because of that extra 25% movement speed reduction that it gives to your abilities. With the combined slow of your 1 and this 25%, you can easily confirm your burst combo on enemies who don't have an escape or their escape abilities are on CD.
The HP is meh but still, it reduces your squishy-ness and that 90 M.Power doesn't need any explanation.
Get ready for a long read
The ultimate mana regeneration item in the whole game in my opinion. This item gives 100 +3% of your maximum Mana M.Power which is about 30~50 extra M.Power so in total you get almost 150 M.Power with this item at max stacks. Speaking of which, this item is a stacking item. Each stack gives you 10 mana.
After reaching 50 stacks with this item you regenerate your HP and MP forever as your MP5 and your Mana Pool is now so high that you can pretty much forget about mana.
A go to Healing Reduction item for mages. It gives a good amount of power and 10 flat pen and it reduces healing of enemies hit by your abilities by 40%.
You should only get this if the enemy team has a god with a decent self-heal (like Hercules) or if they have a healer (like Hel) in their team otherwise there are much better items when your opponent doesn't have any healing abilities or that healing ability can just be ignored (like Fafnir's Coerce).
100 M.Power and 300 mana that can be used in sync with Book of Thoth? Sure why not. You also use this item if you lack that finishing touch to kill an enemy. If your victims run away with low health you can get this item for more power and 10% of their maximum HP as damage (it has a 40s CD though).
Note that the damage is true damage which means unlike Qin's Sais, the damage ignores enemy protections completely.

Defense

One of the best physical protection items for mages who have trouble with a physical god. It gives a insane 80 M.Power which is quite high for a protection item and it gives 30+10/s(up to 50) P.Protection. If you are lost in there, then don't worry. It basically provides a stack of 10 P.Protection every 2s when you're out of combat which will result in 70 P.Protection at max stacks (the 30 P.Protection of the item itself included).
This is great as even though the stacks are removed upon receiving physical damage, you can pretty much counter gods like Loki or Hun Batz or pretty much most assassins with this item as their burst ability is usually the first ability they use in their combo.
With this item you can gain a little bit of tanky-ness without losing any damage.
This item is like a counter part of Celestial Legion Helm but it's not totally the same but the concept seems to be similar.
You gain a nice 70 M.Power and 40 M.Protection and for the icing of the cake, you can have a 10% CDR.
The passive is one of the best anti-burst passives in the game especially when enenmy has one single ability that deals high damage such as ults. You gotta watch out though as it has a 60s CD on it.
A well rounded defensive item that provides a nice counter against getting reckted while being CC-ed.
It provides 40 P.Protection and M.Protection, and a nice 10% CDR and 20% CCR which is not important because the whole CCR stat is just useless.
Now the passsive, when you are hit by a hard CC you gain 15% damage mitigation. Now here's the thing, this is percentage mitigation or as I call it myself it's true protection. It gives you 15% true protection for 3s which means in this 3s, every damage you take are reduced by 15%, then it's mitigated by your flat protections and then you'll receive the damage. You know what is even more cool? The fact that this passive has only 15s CD.
Magi's Blessing This item is another counter when you have trouble with CC. The protections are not really that much but that 350 HP can come in handy.
The main reason you may want to get this is the passive. It gives you a free Purification Beads with a 70s CD.
Now you may want to ask why would I want to purchase this over Spirit Robe as that item seems to much better than this junk. Well there are times that a 15% true protection can't help you for example, when an Ares ults you in a team fight. Ah Puch's ult doesn't give him CC immunity so if your beads are down, you might just end up a sitting duck for gods that can set up kills for their team mates such as Ares, Hercules or Tyr.

Combos

Main Burst Combo

This is your main burst combo. If you execute it correctly AND in time, you'll be going to deal an insane amount of damage to other squishes.
  • First we start with Undead Surge, creating 3 corpses and slowing target. Don't forget this ability will stop on obstacles so make sure there is nothing between you and your target.
  • Then toss a Fleeting Breath to apply debuff and create another corpse. Note that if you want to apply the debuff you need to aim for the enemy as the radius of this ability is quit small.
  • And finally finish off with Corpse Explosion, exploding all of your 3 corpses and dealing the main damage.

Poke Combo

You can use this to poke enemies over obstacles such as minions. It's especially useful in the early game.

Quick Burst combo

I mainly use this to poke gods that have an escape like Neith. If you be quicker than your enemy, you can use this combo to poke them a pretty good amount of damage.
  • Use Undead Surge to slow the enemy and create two corpses. Make sure there is no obstacle in way.
  • Explode the corpses with Corpse Explosion. You should be quick as most people use their escape ability as soon as Undead Surge hits them.

Finishing off, Zoning, Escape, All in One

And finally your ultimate. You can use it to finish off people that are in range or you can use it for zoning but try to avoid using it as an escape as much as possible. Especially as this ability no longer slows so even if you want to use as an escape, make sure you have Gem of Isolation.

Nice! I can tell you put a lot of thought into this.

I also really like how you took the time to explain and highlight words and terms that the newer player might not understand.

Good work in progress. Keep it up! :D

Yeah, this looks really great too. One thing though, in your Combos chapter, the last paragraph, "Finishing off, Zoning, Escape, All in One", you have a stray '[/list]' at the end.
