You can build certain basic attack enhancing items on Sol because of her passive Unstable Manifestation, which buffs her attack speed, overall magical power, and increases her basic attack damage directly (so an item like Diamond Arrow, while the flat basic attack damage isn't worth anything for ability scaling, it's worth a lot of magical power for magical auto attack dps because not only do you need a lot of magical power to equal +80 flat basic attack damage for normal mage auto's (which as I said is generally 20%), but also it directly adds to the basic attack damage stat - which Sol directly buffs through her passive, so that +80 basic attack damage for her becomes worth about like 90 something basic attack damage or so when her passive is fully stacked). Sol isn't the only mage that has a strong auto attack damage stim, there's also 3 main others, Chronos, Olorun and Freya (you'll see them called "Mage ADCs" or "Magical Hunters" though each one has a auto attack dps stim / passives that work a bit differently, also this is a minor thing but they have the same basic attack projectile travel speed as hunters, not like the slightly slower speed than most other mages have) - making a few differences (usually minor) in item / stat efficiency between them, but a common theme on all of them is building Telkhines Ring, and typically Nimble Rod of Tahuti.
Warlock's Staff isn't built right now due to the slower early game with it, there is potential to get it mid game in your build but it slows your power spikes / weakens your curve (though not as much in the past compared to when the pre-stacked version had weaker upfront base stats),though fully stacked it's pretty well statted. You could build it on Sol but generally right now I find better item options. Plus if you're going Typhon's Fang in your build you could simply just go for Pythagorem's Piece instead ( Typhon's Fang is paired with at least 1 magical lifesteal item typically), as Pythagorem's Piece becomes a pretty damn well statted item when used alongside it when factoring Typhon's Fang passive. Basically going Warlock's Staff or not is just a build path / efficiency thing. Im sure you could make it work but i'd prefer not to go it on Sol right now, she's one of the stronger early game Magical Hunters and I find Warlock's Staff makes her early slower than it should, while mid game i'd rather have other items, and if you pick it up lategame you may not be getting value out of Warlock's Staff due ot the stacking requirement. Im sure next patch when the early game of Smite slows down, it may be easier to justify the item on Sol.
TL;DR
Boots are gone now, what do I do?
Too bad it's not CC immune :(
Also def feel the need of ObShard, I went Demonic + Deso but was meh.
Can't say I recommend doing that, not only are you hurting your poke but you're worsening your clear.
Too bad it's not CC immune :(
Well if you time the immunity phase right on her 3 you can avoid things like Ares' ult pull for example.
Nope, you can only avoid the DMG, you will still get pulled. Got 4man tower dove, ULT'd by Ares, I used my 3 thinking I could save beads. Got pulled, no DMG, but RIP. Learned hard way :D
You might be right if before his ULT was cast I was already in incorporeal form
-If you wanted double LS why wouldn't TFang be the goto 2nd LS item?
-Why Warlocks stacking over BoT? EStaff would help avoid stacking so why?
-Why all ADC builds have x2 PEN items?
-In another guide you commented you don't agree w/ Shamans on her, but it's in Build 8
I wanna try your build 8 or 9, but get Demonic as 3rd instead off ObShard and then SReaver. Thoughts?
-If you wanted double LS why wouldn't TFang be the goto 2nd LS item?
Because 1. Typhon's is overpriced. 2. Typhons gets countered harder by anti-heal than Pythags (pythags has more benefits than simply power/lifesteal, it also gives CDR, health and a team aura). 3. Typhons is reliant on bancrofts passive to get a lot of it's usefulness (kinda).
You can get Typhons of course, but my preference would be to get Pythags since Typhon's isn't that great of an item.
-Why Warlocks stacking over BoT? EStaff would help avoid stacking so why?
Warlocks is for survivability, not for a massive amount of power (though it still gives 115 power which is decent). E-Staff is a good alternative to consider if you want to use it, but Warlock's still has it's usefulness - like when you are initiated on quickly or you want extra health without having to rely on E-Staff procs, like when dealing with gods with long range poke like Thoth. Also Warlocks scales with her 1 heal, like Chronos Section I heal on his 2. I prefer Warlocks on Chronos though, and almost never really build Warlocks on Sol.
-Why all ADC builds have x2 PEN items?
Most games you ideally want to build Obs Shard + Demonic on her. Obs Shard is instant pen (so helps you start melting tanks instantly), and benefits the poke damage from her 2 when you don't get a chance to stack Demonic. Yes, you don't always need it, in which case just get Rod of Tahuti earlier in it's place or a flat pen item like Spear of Desolation or Divine Ruin instead or something like Hastened Ring or Pythagorem's Piece etc...
-In another guide you commented you don't agree w/ Shamans on her, but it's in Build 8
I changed my mind on it. You already build Tahuti often on Sol, and Shaman's goes well with it. Also I need to change one of the burst builds quick.
I wanna try your build 8 or 9, but get Demonic as 3rd instead off ObShard and then SReaver. Thoughts?
You're getting Soul Reaver to deal with tanks, and Demonic doesen't help if you want to initiate with your 2 since you need the prot reduction stacks to get the most of Reaver, which is why Obs Shard is preferable, especially due to the ability focus of the build. Of course you can get Demonic after/later, but not in place of Obs Shard.
Also I'll add another ADC build.
Also usually Divine Ruin is built early/mid into the game, not late game.
