Introduction

I accidentally clicked Vulcan when I was supposed to be a support once. We won, (probably only because we had a good King Arthur) but now I've decided to make this guide. Don't worry, there's still a Normal Mid guide here too. Sorry that this guide isn't very in-depth.

Update: I'm on a 6 game winning streak with this support Vulcan

Nitro, despite your winning streak with Vulc Supp, I can't get behind a build for Support that stacks Book of Thoth (I just saw I basically mirrored Vini's statement below).

Now, before I make any further judgments on the Supp build, I'd like to know what the strategy is in how you play him here. Obviously he's not a preferred support, specifically due to his lack of enough CC for peel purposes. I'm guessing what's happening here is you're building him tanky enough to withstand some hits, but his poke and base damage potential is sort of making this a kill lane. One big thing here though is back to back physical prots...Sov into BoV, I'm sure, is flexible, but if I were providing an example build, I'd expect you'd want to balance that with a magical or dual protections item in-between.

Also, have no clue why Asclep is in there...it should just not be, as per what Gulf said.

Your normal mid build and general options are fine. You honestly should lead off the build/guide with that, rather than the majorly off-meta support.

Sorry Nitro, with no reply to this and going completely against the spirit of Conquest Support via an early stacking item, I'm now going to archive this. Let me know if you have any questions.

Rod of Asclepius has some decent stats...for a healer. Since Vulcan has no healing what-so-ever in his kit, you'd be better served getting a different item. I'd get something like Winged Blade instead.

Hello NitroC.

Alright, some feedback.

1. Support:
• I can't get behind a support build that lists Book of Thoth as the first item. Not only this is a damage item, and for consequence NOT a support item, but to stack it you'll need to steal farm from your ADC/Mid, and again, that's not what a support should do.

• But that's not the only issue. You have 3 physical protection items and only 1 magical protection item. What's going to happen when their mid comes near you? You're going to be destroyed, since you don't have protections to take their damage.

• You're also lacking dual protection items, and I honestly believe they provide way more value than some of the items you listed.

The build I'd recommend would be something like:
Shoes of Focus/ Reinforced Shoes
Celestial Legion Helm/ Jade Emperor's Crown
Void Stone/ Genji's Guard
Gauntlet of Thebes
Gem of Isolation/ Pythagorem's Piece/ Lono's Mask (This last one only if you're dying too much)
Mantle of Discord

2. Mid

• I you're going Book of Thoth, you'll need more mana items on your build. Replace Shoes of the Magi with Shoes of Focus, add Soul Reaver and maybe Book of the Dead.

An example build would be something like:
Book of Thoth
Shoes of Focus
Soul Gem
Spear of Desolation
Soul Reaver
Obsidian Shard

Jade isn't really all that good, Vini, unless you're playing an aggressive support like Bacchus or Kuzenbo; I'd still go with the elo helm instead.

You're right.
