Purchase Order

Start for Build 1, other starts read NOTES Notes Can get Hunter's Blessing instead of Mage's Blessing, but Mage's Blessing is preferred, at least for Mid lane it is.

Other Mid Starts:

Mage's Blessing/ Hunter's Blessing, Spellbook, 1 Healing Potion and 2 Mana Potions. (This start is for Book of Thoth builds).

Book of Souls, 1 Healing Potion/ Multi Potion and 2 Mana Potions. (This start is for Book of Thoth builds).

Talon Trinket, 1 Multi Potion and 1 Mana Potion (or 1 health/1 mana or 2 mana). (This start is for rushing Bancroft's Talon before Boots if against low pressure in mid lane where the start won't be punished).

Mage's Blessing/ Hunter's Blessing, Uncommon Staff, 1 Healing Potion and 2x Mana Potions. (This start is for getting Warlock's Staff soon after boots).

Build Item Mage's Blessing Mage's Blessing
Build Item Tiny Trinket Tiny Trinket
Build Item Healing Potion Healing Potion
Build Item Healing Potion Healing Potion
Build Item Mana Potion Mana Potion
Build Item Mana Potion Mana Potion
Build Item Purification Beads Purification Beads
Build Item Aegis Amulet Aegis Amulet

Build Example 1 (Basic Attack-Based) (Recommended) Notes More standard AA-based build with no stacking, becomes potent sooner in match than Warlock's Staff build, however you're squishier.

Can get Shoes of Focus instead of Shoes of the Magi.

Can also get Bancroft's Talon instead of Pythagorem's Piece.

If you need Divine Ruin it would take the place of either Telkhines Ring, Obsidian Shard, or Rod of Tahuti. Or, Boots when you have Elixir of Speed.

An example anti-heal build path could be: Shoes of Focus, Pythagorem's Piece, Divine Ruin, Demonic Grip, Telkhines Ring, Obsidian Shard/ Rod of Tahuti (sell boots for Elixir of Speed and item you didn't get sixth).

If you get Toxic Blade instead of Divine Ruin I would swap it for the items suggested for Divine Ruin, but not Rod of Tahuti, as I feel you give up too much power if you do so.

Build Item Shoes of the Magi Shoes of the Magi
Build Item Pythagorem's Piece Pythagorem's Piece
Build Item Demonic Grip Demonic Grip
Build Item Telkhines Ring Telkhines Ring
Build Item Obsidian Shard Obsidian Shard
Build Item Rod of Tahuti Rod of Tahuti
Build Item Purification Beads Purification Beads
Build Item Aegis Amulet Aegis Amulet

Lategame replacement options for Build 1 Notes Sell boots for:

Mantle of Discord for survivability and countering heavy burst,

Chronos' Pendant for more CDR,

Hastened Ring for boxing/chasing/juking,

Spear of Desolation for a mix of power/pen/cdr,

or some other alternative. (though the options listed here tend to be the best ones).

Build Item Elixir of Speed Elixir of Speed
Build Item Hastened Ring Hastened Ring
Build Item Spear of Desolation Spear of Desolation
Build Item Chronos' Pendant Chronos' Pendant
Build Item Mantle of Discord Mantle of Discord

Build Example 2 (Book of Thoth Ability Based) (Off-Meta) Notes Build centered around 3+1 combo using Section III on Accelerate. Comes online later than AA-based builds due to inclusion of Book of Thoth, and due to being more ability focused. The main weakness of this build is fighting against CC-immunity ( Magi's Cloak, Purification Beads, CC-immune abilities).

High burst, but not much CDR so you may be a bit predictable. You want to try and farm as much as possible for this build so you can start being relevant, especially since you need to stack Shaman's Ring to get the evolved version that works well with Rod of Tahuti.

Has some safety with Book of the Dead later into the match, if you swap Boots for it instead of getting one of the other alternative items.

If you need Divine Ruin you would replace Spear of Desolation, though it does potentialy lower the chance of one shotting squishies with your 3 + 1 combo.

Build Item Book of Thoth Book of Thoth
Build Item Shoes of Focus Shoes of Focus
Build Item Spear of Desolation Spear of Desolation
Build Item Obsidian Shard Obsidian Shard
Build Item Shaman's Ring Shaman's Ring
Build Item Rod of Tahuti Rod of Tahuti
Build Item Purification Beads Purification Beads
Build Item Aegis Amulet Aegis Amulet

Lategame replacement options for Build 2 Notes Sell boots for:

Book of the Dead for survivability,

Soul Reaver for fighting high health targets with your Time Rift and Stop Time (good for punishing tanks lategame),

Polynomicon for adding some extra combo burst and helps with tower/pheonix pushing once you have some magical power online in your build. Works especially well with Book of Thoth centred builds,

Chronos' Pendant for more CDR,

or some other alternative, including one of the basic attack rings. (though the options listed here tend to be the best ones).

Build Item Elixir of Speed Elixir of Speed
Build Item Book of the Dead Book of the Dead
Build Item Soul Reaver Soul Reaver
Build Item Polynomicon Polynomicon
Build Item Chronos' Pendant Chronos' Pendant

Build Example 3 (Basic Attack-Based with Warlocks) Notes Slower, stacking build so you become potent later into the match, though Warlock's Staff is there for safety. I mainly use this build over the other AA-based one if im against a team which has heavy burst (e.g. He Bo, Zeus). Early game this build is very farm focused, so avoid lengthy engagements/poking unless you're certain you can get a kill/assist.

Can get Shoes of the Magi instead of Shoes of Focus.

If you need Divine Ruin or Toxic Blade it would take the place of either Obsidian Shard or Telkhines Ring. Or, Boots when you have Elixir of Speed.

An example could be: Shoes of Focus, Warlock's Staff, Demonic Grip, Divine Ruin, Telkhines Ring, Obsidian Shard/ Rod of Tahuti (sell boots for Elixir of Speed and item you didn't get sixth).

Build Item Shoes of Focus Shoes of Focus
Build Item Warlock's Staff Warlock's Staff
Build Item Demonic Grip Demonic Grip
Build Item Telkhines Ring Telkhines Ring
Build Item Obsidian Shard Obsidian Shard
Build Item Rod of Tahuti Rod of Tahuti
Build Item Aegis Amulet Aegis Amulet
Build Item Purification Beads Purification Beads

Lategame replacement options for Build 3 Notes Sell boots for:

Pythagorem's Piece for the good mix of stats, including lifesteal (recommended),

Bancroft's Talon for lifesteal and boxing using the item's passive,

Chronos' Pendant for more CDR,

Hastened Ring for boxing/chasing/juking,

or some other alternative. (though the options listed here tend to be the best ones).

Build Item Elixir of Speed Elixir of Speed
Build Item Pythagorem's Piece Pythagorem's Piece
Build Item Bancroft's Talon Bancroft's Talon
Build Item Chronos' Pendant Chronos' Pendant
Build Item Hastened Ring Hastened Ring

Alternative/Situational Offense Notes Divine Ruin or Toxic Blade may be necessary in some matches. I don't recommend Toxic Blade in the same build as one that has Hastened Ring, as you lose out on too much damage.

Typhon's Fang should only be bought when Bancroft's Talon is present, and the item gets countered hard by anti-heal.

Soul Gem doesen't provide much, but it provides the occasional burst proc with it's passive which can be stacked with constant usage of Time Rift. I would consider it only in an ability based build.

Ethereal Staff is a bruiser option if you want to be able to reduce tanky targets health while also gaining some of it to have a bit more health.

Build Item Ethereal Staff Ethereal Staff
Build Item Soul Gem Soul Gem
Build Item Typhon's Fang Typhon's Fang
Build Item Divine Ruin Divine Ruin
Build Item Toxic Blade Toxic Blade
Build Item Doom Orb Doom Orb
Build Item Staff of Myrddin Staff of Myrddin

Alternative Defense Notes Dynasty Plate Helm or Celestial Legion Helm are useful against physical Mid and/or physical Jungler, though Celestial Helm is weak against tick based physical damage (e.g. The Crusher).

Winged Blade against Slow-heavy team comps.

Breastplate of Valor against heavy physical teams if you need the defense and want some CDR, generally best paired with Book of Thoth builds.

Stone of Fal for it's base stats, for dealing with burst mages that haven't build Obsidian Shard yet.

Build Item Bulwark of Hope Bulwark of Hope
Build Item Genji's Guard Genji's Guard
Build Item Void Stone Void Stone
Build Item Stone of Fal Stone of Fal
Build Item Dynasty Plate Helm Dynasty Plate Helm
Build Item Celestial Legion Helm Celestial Legion Helm
Build Item Breastplate of Valor Breastplate of Valor
Build Item Winged Blade Winged Blade
Build Item Hide of the Urchin Hide of the Urchin
Build Item Shield of Regrowth Shield of Regrowth
Build Item Midgardian Mail Midgardian Mail
Build Item Relic Dagger Relic Dagger
Build Item Witchblade Witchblade

Alternative Relics (Usually won't get these)

Build Item Phantom Veil Phantom Veil
Build Item Blink Rune Blink Rune
Build Item Heavenly Wings Heavenly Wings
Build Item Bracer of Undoing Bracer of Undoing

Not Recommended Notes Do not build these items on Chronos in this role.

Build Item Spear of the Magus Spear of the Magus
Build Item Gem of Isolation Gem of Isolation
Build Item Rod of Asclepius Rod of Asclepius

Mid Role

Mid
  • Overview: Listed builds cater to either:

An auto-attack focused Chronos that typically has both decent ability damage and high auto-attack damage, using the fourth section on his Wheel of Time.

Or, an ability-based focused Chronos that typically has both high ability damage and high auto-attack damage (but low DPS due to low attack speed), using the third section on his Wheel of Time, though the fourth section can get good use as well.

I would heavily prioritise the fourth section (over the third) to deal incredible damage with his Auto Attacks (which has higher damage potential than using the third section, though the third section can be used in ability-based builds to one-shot or almost kill squishies with Stop Time / Time Rift combo) whenever using a build that has some sort of attack-speed focus in it. Chronos excels lategame via his high auto attack damage from Accelerate, whether it’s for structures, objectives or enemy players.

  • Early Laning: As Chronos doesn't have the best early game, play a bit passively at the start, avoid tanking the minion wave and use his Time Rift to poke the enemy Mid if you have already cleared the minion wave (though you should prioritise farm, including mid xp camps and red buff), unless you go a low sustain start (in which case be conservative with your mana and avoid taking poke in lane, as otherwise you may have to back which will allow the enemy mid/jungle to take the middle xp camps and possibly invade red buff).

The second section of Wheel of Time helps to reduce his massive mana consumption in the early stages of the game until you have an item like Book of Thoth or Soul Reaver or Warlock's Staff online to help with any mana problems. Use the first section for health sustain when you have finished clearing a wave and need to regenerate lost health.

  • Starter Items - Mage's or Hunter's Blessing: Mage's Blessing is generally the best starter for efficient wave clear in the early game, and allows for good ability poke damage.

Hunter's Blessing can also be an acceptable starter due to Chronos’ slightly higher auto damage early game than other mages, allowing him to harass (using basic attacks) mages' with unsafe early clear, though this is a starter better utilised in the carry role.

  • Movement: Shoes of the Magi is my standard preference due to it's flat penetration which is useful for early game damage. However, Shoes of Focus can also help with early mana sustain and provides a small but useful amount of cooldown reduction, and works well with Book of Thoth and Book of the Dead.

  • Cooldown: You can get Chronos' Pendant lategame on Chronos himself as a lone cooldown reduction item, or pair it with Spear of Desolation. However, you don't necessarily need 40% cdr if you can one-shot people.

  • Attack Speed & Penetration: Hastened Ring can be acceptable as your only Attack Speed item in Mid role if you prefer Obsidian Shard to Demonic Grip. If you do pick up the ring, I would only recommend getting it earliest at third item or later to use it to its full potential where Chronos' secondary function as an ADC becomes strong after having a high power item/ high power in his build.

Demonic Grip is perfectly acceptable in the Mid role due to Obsidian Shard generally being more prioritised in burst builds. If there are two (or more) tanky frontliners (e.g. solo, support, possibly hybrid/tanky jungler), then you could get both. Soul Reaver can help with draling damage to tanks as well.

  • Protections & Survivability: You could pick Celestial Legion Helm or Dynasty Plate Helm if you face a Physical Jungler that you feel poses a big threat and/or a Physical Mid laner with a good early (e.g Ullr), however there are other options. For instance, I would get Winged Blade instead for some health for general survivability and to counter gods with slows, e.g. Nemesis when she uses Divine Judgement. Magi's Cloak is also a good pickup against heavy CC team compositions or Assassins/Junglers with global ultimates (e.g. Thor), though Mantle of Discord can fulfill this role suitably as well and can also be good for anti-burst.

Carry Role

Carry
  • Overview: This Build is catered to an Auto Attack - focused Chronos , using the fourth section on his Wheel of Time. Try and avoid being pressured early game, go with a Guardian with good clear such as Ymir , Khepri , Ganesha , Sylvanus , or go with a Support Warrior such as Erlang Shen for a safer early game (otherwise you will have to play quite passively if you are out cleared and out pressured in lane).

  • Early Laning: Avoid getting your team's Damage and Void Buff stolen , and if outclearing your opponent in lane, consider stealing their Buffs if you are not too low on health and mana and if you seem to be safe from ganking, otherwise farm safely in lane. Get your boots choice first always before moving onto the rest of your build, even when building stacking items.

If facing the prospect of being outcleared and pressured in duo lane, then focus on clearing fast and farm passively during the laning phase (Void buff, Gold Fury Oracles, Damage buff - though your Mid laner may need/want the actual buff itself, and sometimes the back XP camp). If behind, farm safely making sure to Ward nearby jungle routes and try to split push when it is safe, but don't look for fights if you are underleveled.

  • Starter Items: Chronos can make good use of Hunter's Blessing as it will make his auto attacks in the early levels (1 to 5) hit just as hard as some hunters, though with this starter your waveclear will be slighty worse with abilities. Generally, I recommend this starter for Carry role.

Alternatively, Mage's Blessing is an okay choice here as you will be using your abilities to clear the wave in the duo lane with some mana leftover to either take your own teams buff camps or steal the enemies.

  • Attack Speed, Penetration and Alternatives: Demonic Grip is typically core on Chronos in the Carry role since Obsidian Shard doesen't offer attack speed, and is more expensive. Hastened Ring is a possible (but not required) option in this role so you can chase enemies with hard hitting auto attacks when your Accelerate is active with its passive movement speed, but isn't that good early game.

Typhon's Fang is an okay lifesteal choice IF you pair it with Bancroft's Talon , be mindful though of the fact that the lifesteal from this combination can be countered very hard by anti-heal.

Getting Spear of Desolation will also improve your poke and structure damage due to its combination of cooldown, power and penetration at a price that isn't too offsetting (Though you can replace this with something like a Divine Ruin for antiheal – which is typically the case in a lot of games, Telkhines Ring for auto attack damage etc...).

Solo Role

Solo
  • Overview: When picking Chronos here, you're going to be focused on surviving the hard pressure in the solo lane against primarily Warriors or some Guardians, a few Assassins and a few Mages. When playing Solo against high pressure gods (like most Warriors), avoid getting in close proximity to them in the early stages of the game and make sure you clear the wave from a distance. In this role, Chronos cannot frontline, so hopefully you planned your team composition around this pick.

  • Early Laning: Although not an amazing start , getting Warlock's Staff soon is important for health as Chronos has a low health pool as a mage and stacking it is rather long, although it will help counter Warriors later on, especially ability focused ones. Alternatively, you can get an early Pythagorem's Piece instead.

If you have plenty of leftover mana , Time Rift can be used to poke the enemy Solo laner in between minion waves. The stun from Stop Time is also incredibly useful in interrupting some Warriors primary clear , e.g. Nike and Rend, giving you a good lane advantage, or you can use the stun to prevent a warrior harassing you in close range.

Additionally, avoid getting your Mana Buff stolen as it can be terrible for Chronos' Mana even with Mage's Blessing, due to the solo lane having more encounters between minion waves. And finally , buy Wards after your first trip back to the Fountain, as unexpected ganks from the enemy jungler can be excruciating to deal with, especially if your first relic when playing Solo is Teleport Glyph instead of Aegis Amulet or Purification Beads.

  • Starter Item: Usually, I would take Mage's Blessing to prioritise waveclear (as im usually not going to play too aggressive into high pressure matchups) as it allows for efficient, fast wave clear in the early game to avoid taking too long to clear the wave (which may open an opportunity for the enemy Solo laner to either bully you in lane or steal your mana buff). It also allows for decent poke damage as well. You could take this starter if you know the enemy solo will have awful waveclear, and won't put up much pressure in lane, or if you're against a mage in solo.

Alternatively, Warrior's Blessing is a safer option that is helpful when laning against enemies like Ne Zha and Set, where you can still box them in lane without getting pressured too hard, e.g. like with King Arthur, a matchup which would maybe necessitate the pickup of Guardian's Blessing.

General Advice/Summary

Summary
  • Key Core Item: As stated earlier, Demonic Grip seems to be a more CORE choice on Chronos (in any role) since Obsidian Shard doesen't give structure damage anymore. Any of you Chronos players out there that aren't too keen on Basic Attacks, well it's time you improve those, although you can decide to use the ability-based Mid lane build I list.

  • Early Game Safety: Remember to avoid getting too aggressive early game, unless you've got some help in Lane (Duo lane, or with Jungler in Mid/Solo). As a late-game hyper carry, your early game is weak and you're especially vulnerable before you've got your ultimate.

  • Late-Game Boots Replacement (Elixir of Speed): Once you have enough gold, sell your boots item lategame for Elixir of Speed and an offensive/defensive item of your choice that you think would make sense in your match, although I do list some important considerations in my build notes.

  • Item Inefficiencies: Whichever role you are playing Chronos in, ideally you do not want to build both Hastened Ring and Polynomicon in the same build, especially in an ADC build. They do not function that well together as they both require high Power from other items in the build to work to their maximum potential.

Polynomicon uses high Power to make the damage from its passive stronger (More Power = Better Scaling), and Hastened Ring needs some form of high Power in the build to make up for the loss of damage (compared to other item choices) you sacrifice to utilize its passive effect.

I generally would restrict Polynomicon to burst mage builds or buidling it if you're ahead, but would not get it in most ADC builds (unless as a very late option). The only way getting both Polynomicon and Hastened Ring in the same build would be decent, is if you're in a very long game that grants Chronos a high amount of magical power from his passive Time Lord, which can make up for the DPS losss from getting the two items, as the passive grants 125 magical power after 50 minutes.

  • General Tips: With the extremely low CD, spam Time Rift for poke damage on enemy gods when the wave is not around. Try not to spam it too much early game though or you will run out of mana quickly.

Remember to Ward around the Jungle areas to your Lane after your first trip back to the fountain (or subsequent trips if you do not have enough gold on the initial back).

If you've been bursted to very low health and your relics are on cooldown but your ultimate is not, then consider using your Stop Time on the enemy to stun them before you use Rewind so you are not killed during the windup.

It is possible to play Chronos Jungle, but it is a very niche and risky role for him to play especially against assassins such as Thor , Set and Susano , which may make it a very unenjoyable role for him.

Thank you for reading this and I hope you find it useful. Builds from a Diamond Chronos (Wish he still had Basic Attack penalty removal on his 2.)

Hi, all is fine, but Build 1 lacks early to mid game penetration... all you have is +10 flat from boots which you sell later ofc, and obsidian shard which is not flat. You should replace bancrofts for Demonic Grip or keep Bancroft's Talon and replace Hastened Ring into Demonic Grip.

Build 1 is getting changed anyway due to the price increase to hastened for next patch. But, the original build before was fine, at it was mainly aimed at focusing squishy targets until I got Obs Shard online. Besides, i've seen some mid lane players in conquest focus exclusively on power/flat pen on a mage build so they can 100-0 the enemy team's mid/carry/jungler despite the lesser damage output to tanks (and in my 1st build, again, I still list Obs Shard).

Just ringing in on this guide again real quick because I am now also using it as my starting point for using Chronos in Joust since I am getting back into that now as well. From what I have seen, most of the conquest guides I have used as a baseline for arena work a lot better in joust. I think that with maybe a bit of tinkering and the tools you have laid out with this guide that Chronos will be a really good flexible choice for me in that mode, provided I continue to progress with him. This is just basically a kudos post to you because I have really enjoyed playing him and received a lot of help from your information here.

In Joust i’ve seen Trelli Relli (GM Ranked Joust player - check their YouTube) go Soul gem or reaver early on Chronos. I’ve tried it and it’s decent. Start mage’s blessing, tiny trinket and pots, then go a build something like: pen boots, soul gem, soul reaver, demonic, obs shard, Telkhines/Tahuti

Kriega, I'm seeing Pythagorem's Piece being built frenquetly on Chronos recently, both in SPL and Ranked games. It's replacing Bancroft's Talon as the go-to lifesteal item. What do you think about this?
1
[-]
Kriega1 (87) | June 5, 2019 12:40pm
It’s a decent item but it’s not my preferred choice for an early game pickup. Most times I consider this item as a boots replacement. Of course, the item is cheaper than Bancrofts, offers a little bit of health/cdr and I believe offers higher lifesteal than Bancrofts unless your health is a certain percentage. But as for the actual power it offers it’s less than Bancrofts plus the passive getting good use from teammates isn’t certain.

Edit: On 2nd thought I tried it in a recent game and I quite like it with cdr boots and dynasty early. I updated the builds anyway.

Hey Kriega, I was looking at your tanky builds and for arena purposes what would you put as a suitable replacement for warlock's in arena? Something like Ethereal to give some health and some tanky utility with the health swap or just run with bancrofts in the 1 and boots in the two like the other builds you have and then follow the tanky builds as follows? Gem of Isolation maybe as well as an option there in that 2 spot?

Kriega1 (87) | May 27, 2019 8:43pm
You probably shouldn’t run him tanky in arena but I would go: start: warrior’s blessing and tiny trinket , Build: Bancrofts, cdr boots, Breastplate, void stone, winged blade, divine ruin. Or maybe pen boots, Celestial Helm, shoguns, Demonic, Witchblade, gem of iso/e-staff. Yeah these are some pretty wacky builds. Don’t recommend tanky Chronos in arena.

The only reason i ask, for situations like i had earlier, when i had locked in and no one went guardian/warrior. yeah, not something i was looking at wanting to run but maybe help a bit when no one chooses tank and i have already locked in.

Would you have any suggestions/modifications for building arena with him? I bought him yesterday because he is one of the few mages i liked just from initially viewing and i may actually try him out sooner than anticipated. Well put together guide. If my browser is not being wonky again you have my +1.

Start tier 2 Bancrofts. Build: Bancrofts, pen boots, demonic, Telkhines, hastened, obs Shard/Tahuti for AA-based. For ability based: Start: tier 2 Book Of Thoth, build: Book of Thoth, cdr/pen boots, deso, obs Shard, shamans , Tahuti

I was figuring in Arena, you could back if you were hurt. Rushing and picking spots for basic attack kills was what I was going for, hence the late Bancroft's.

Granted, this wasn't a very balanced match that I played with you, but my default if playing Chronos would be to build him like a normal carry.

Right now speed is OP, so I didn't mind going shoes, into the rings, into Bancroft late.

Shoes of Focus
Demonic Grip
Hastened Ring
Telkhines Ring
Bancroft's Talon
Situational

Only reason I got Celestial Legion Helm was because we were facing 4 physical.

But you could very easily build him more of a standard mage-type early and just nuke with your 1 a ton...transitioning to more basic attack function late. Here, I'd probably suggest something like this, and Kriega can suggest adjustments as necessary.

Shoes of the Magi
Chronos' Pendant
Bancroft's Talon
Demonic Grip
Hastened Ring
Telkhines Ring

also, considering that it looks like he is so auto attacked focused how you feel Polynomicon would fit into the end of that first build?

Man, quick response. Good on you, old chap. Thanks for laying that response out so quickly.

Also, i already love your first build idea. when i first started and was lvling Ymir and tinkering with Telkhines Ring I was really doing everything i could to justify having all three of those rings on him. I actually made some fun builds with 2 of the 3 in there on him but my noobier self at the time really lamented not fitting all 3 in.

No he's A tier (A+ if we're talking about Ranked, especially for his ADC). And I've already seen that tier list, also im not sure whether DM's tier list is for Ranked or SPL.

Edit: Mid: A, ADC: A+/S-, Solo: B+.

Probably ranked. SPL has a much smaller pool of players than ranked Conq.

Kriega, have you seen emilitoo playing Chronos today?

Kriega1 (87) | May 16, 2019 4:48pm
I did, and I saw him build Warlock's Staff, same as Joshy (Luminosity) did, which we haven't seen much of for his adc builds this season, meanwhile "Reddit Balance Squad" was saying warlocks needed a buff. Also Divios was building warlocks Hades too.

(I don't have experience with Chronos, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.)

I'm divided when it comes to Warlock's Staff. It makes sense when we keep in mind that Chronos is a lategame god due to his passive and itemization. However, doesn't it hurt his early game, making it harder?

I don't think Warlock's needs a buff, but they definitely could reduce the number of stacks required. 70 would be fair.

I don't think I ever build Warlock's on Hades solo, but I remember building it one time I played in mid.

I've been reading your guides and following the builds due to lack of knowledge but I see some of you saying Conquest and I find the builds viable in Arena without changing them majority of the time, I've also been successful with paticular builds because I change my play style towards the build if that makes any sense, all in all I found guys like yourself Boogie and others beneficial to anyone serious about learning Smite I've tried other sites and they SUCKED !!!!! Thanks and great job fellas.....

Oh, indeed at times they can still work in Arena, but if Arena was the focus, certain item choices would be more attractive, and others less attractive (e.g. Warlock's Staff is pretty bad in arena).

Rahsaan7, I too, am pretty inexperienced still and only play arena currently and I can certainly agree with Kriega here. Pretty much any character i tried to build warlocks with in arena...it was terrible.

Kriega, how do YOU pronounce your name?

KREE-guh? Kree-eh-guh?

Boogie pronounces it the 2nd way, and it honestly drives me crazy.

Boog...

"Kree-Guh" is the correct way - same as in the video. I've also heard it pronounced before as "Cry-Gah" but thats FakeNews.

Also im not sure what you have to do to intrepret Kriega as "Kree-eh-guh", you're literally inventing extra syllables.
