Introduction

What's Wrong With this Ra?

When people see that a magical god, especially Ra, is playing as a physical damage dealer, they often call you a "noob" or "scrub." If you're afraid of being called a "noob" or "scrub," this is not the right guide for you. (Just Say'n)

Though all people--with an exception of few--believe that Ra is solely meant for magical damage, the Egyptian Sun God, Ra, can easily be built as an attack damage carry or tank.
I am creating this guide in hopes that smite players learn a new and powerful side to Ra. One characteristic that makes Ra extremely special is his extremely strong abilities--he has a laser beam, a blind, an AOE heal, and a Snipe (the 1st level of Ra's ultimate ability does 400 magical damage). So, his magical power allows my build to work, as it allows more freedom for a unique build such as the one I will be introducing to Smite players.

Disclaimer: I KNOW SOME PEOPLE WILL DISAGREE WITH ME :P

P.S. I WILL IMPROVE UPON THIS GUIDE (It's still in Beta :D)

Pros / Cons

Pros

    -Strong Magical Power
    -Ranged Mage
    -Abilities Go Well Together
    -Passive includes a Speed Boost
    -Area of Effect Healing
    -Easily Clears Minion Waves
-Does not consume too much Mana
Cons
    -Defense is Very Low (Squishy)
    -Ultimate has Ramp-up Time
    -Abilities are easily dodged
-Less Lane Push than other Magical Gods (Such as Ao Kuang)

Items

Heartseeker

The heartseeker is the basic AD item and is powerful because it gives 25 physical power, 10% movement increase, and stacks for "+1.5 Physical Power per stack, and receive 5 stacks per player kill and 1 stack per minion kill. All stacks are lost on death (max 60 stacks)" at Level III. Most likely you will be soloing mid as Ra, since he clears lanes like they are NOTHING. In addition, your mid opponent will most likely be a magical damage dealer such as Ao Kuang or Agni. If you can hit your auto attacks will deal massive damage to magical dealers, since their weakness is physical damage. Finally, your magical damage from your skills will also deal a lot of damage dearly game.

Fatalis

Fatalis isn't just for attack damage characters, as it increases the attack rate significantly for all gods. Fatalis at Level III gives 10% movement speed, 35% attack speed, and ability cooldown is reduced by 20%. Also, fatalis is great for Ra because Ra's attack speed is pretty slow. (It's rather frustrating to auto-attack when your attack speed is very low)

Ra is simply too squishy to be AD :)

^^
LOL! Do you even mid, bro?

In response to that.... Useless? AD ra is amazing. Takes skill, for sure. His abilities are easy to dodge, and hitting with an auto attack means getting a little too close for comfort when you are SQUISHY... I adapt my AD ra build in the case i get into a tough spot (sprint if they keep escaping or running me down / or HOG if im mid laning against someone with HOG that's going for defense buff) but other than that, i almost always win my lane. If I'm not getting ganked all the time that is... but there ARE 5 players on a team, it can be a lot of weight to carry. I AD ra so much i can barely mage ra anymore... if that's even a legit strategy these days. seems horrible, those abilities are not easy to hit unless u have stunner in your lane. Good build, if not a little narrow. No one build is perfect for all situations, but i understand there are too many possibilities to list them all.

People say horrible things, but i will often get fatalis first. It is most DEF a core item for AD ra. (Movement, Attack speed, ability speed) Ulti can then be heavily used on minions when there are no gods nearby. You just have to keep those abilities on cooldown to max out the reduction benefit, which may be one reason people dont like fatalis (they dont do this).

Solid build, AD RA OP!!!!

Besides Fatalis being bad, Physical Ra actually works really well. He is just as viable as MAgical Ra. Plus he is a ton of fun to play. The only thing that you are missing is that fatalis and there are forums as to why.
