Odin Build

Full tank build (rush CDR to spam gungnir's might and the ultimate)

Notes Credit to BranMuffin for teaching me this one.

Choose between Warrior Tabi and Reinforced Greaves.

If you're seeing a lot of CC, grab Spirit Robe 3rd. Otherwise, grab Relic Dagger 3rd.

If you don't mind overcapping on CDR, and enemy team has good AA focused gods, replace your boots with Witchblade.

Consider Genji's Guard instead of Breastplate of Valor if majority of enemies are magical.

The shield will not expire while Odin is using Lunge, and will always detonate upon landing, dealing bonus damage.

Odin begins empowering Gungnir with Runic Magic, becoming immune to knockbacks. Every second, Gungnir changes runes and Odin pulses out damage around him, slowing enemies for 2s. When Odin releases Gungnir it travels forward, damaging enemies and stopping on the first god hit. The first rune causes allies around Odin to gain Attack Speed for 3s. The second rune allows Gungnir to stun.

Odin summons a wall of spears that blocks his enemies movement. Enemies inside the ring cannot heal, and their power is reduced by 15%. Odin is immune to Slows and Roots while in his Ring. A portion of the wall can be destroyed when hit by 5 Basic Attacks. Enemies that leave the ring through or over a wall are chased by Gungnir, taking damage and becoming slowed for 2.5s. Enemies that die inside Ring of Spears grant Odin a permanent bonus to Physical Power.

Kill combo:
1) Raven Shout
2) Gungnir's Might (3rd rune)
3) Lunge
4) Ring of Spears + basic attacks

Spam Gungnir's Might. Use the 2nd rune to poke or 3rd rune to set up kills/peel.

In non arena game modes, use the 1st rune to help minions/allies clear objectives.

You forgot to mention Genji's Guard as an alternative to Breastplate of Valor, Boogie.

Your first build overcaps CDR. Maybe switch the witchblade for masamune instead. Or just keep boots.

There isnt anything wrong with a small overcap in this case. But you are correct, i think this should be a more situational pick up rather than a required one. It's like you mentioned, I'd rather just keep the boots and maybe invest in an Elixir of Defense.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat.
