If your solo lane opponent is physical, I would almost always build Glad Shield as your first item following Warrior's Blessing. Picking up a defensive item with CDR will make it nearly impossible for your opponent to win lane against you. If your opponent doesn't have much sustain and you want to pressure them, picking up Blackthorn Hammer or Transcendence are good choices as they give you lots of power, CDR, and make it almost impossible for you to run out of mana.
Void shield works as very effective hybrid item and I highly recommend it on Chaac. If the opposing team has multiple gods that utilize basic attack damage/speed, then Hide of the Nemean Lion is your best friend. Picking up Thorns along with it can be extremely effective.
Genji's Guard is very useful early game if your solo lane opponent is magical, as it gives you magical protections, CDR, and MP5.
All of these items are well utilized by Chaac as he is best used as a front line tank with CDR
I would most likely limit your build to one of these items, as Chaac should be focusing on defense. Blackthorn Hammer and Transcendence both provide power, CDR, and nearly unlimited mana. Transcendence is going to give you more power for offense and healing on your 3, but Blackthorn is going to give you a health boost, which is especially useful if you are utilizing Hide of the Nemean Lion and/or Thorns. Runeforge is a very good offensive option for Chaac as his rain induces crowd control effects for 6 seconds. Once Soul Eater evolves, it can provide tons of healing for Chaac since his abilities are all quite powerful and AOE. However, your opponent is already most likely be building anti-heal against you, so the effectiveness of Soul Eater is limited.
Personally I very much like including at least 1 or 2 hybrid items in my Chaac builds as the extra power benefits his healing and boxing potential. With high sustain and power, Chaac can be troublesome for burst damage gods who lack escape methods.
If you are playing in the solo lane, Teleport Glyph is almost always your first relic.

I'm a fairly new smite player. I just play for fun, so if you have advice for me let me know! I feel that Chaac is somewhat basic, but he can be fun to play. The guide is primarily a build guide for beginners who enjoy conquest.
Pros
- You're a big fat tank
- Strong early and mid-game
- Great at defending lane
- Good poke early game
- Good in team fights (Especially your ult)
Cons
- Struggles to push lane against opponents in solo lane
- Relies heavily on your back line in team fights as his escape is not very good

Alright, let's see. Firstly, I would say, you have 4 full example builds listed, but no explanation in notation on how/when you would choose that build. Adding that would help some. E.g...Build 3 and 4 are against a magical lane opponent, and that makes sense. But when would you choose Void Shield in the 3rd position, and when would you choose Breastplate of Valor?
Kriega, in his comment below, provided some other build directions, some of which I believe you've incorporated into your builds. I don't see Gladiator's Shield as any option, but if you choose not to use it, that's fine too. It's a solid option, but not fully necessary since he does have healing in his kit, and rushing BoV instead of Glad Shield can be nice for the higher CDR too.
Weird thing, though, your mid-game build for magical opponents shows Blackthorn Hammer built after Ancile...but in all of your build examples below, it's nowhere to be seen. Did you forget to adjust those?
I do think it might still be important to get Warrior's Blessing, even against a magical solo enemy.
In SPL, fineokay recently chose Chaac as a counter to Terra, and he still chose Warrior's Blessing and rushed Gladiator's Shield...he valued the sustain more than building protections against his lane enemy. So I think there's a lot of variability to be had here, and the flexibility means there's no "right" way to build him at the start.
That said, if you get Teleport Glyph, I'm not sure you'd want to rush Boots as a starting item. 500 gold for just 6% MS is pretty expensive for the value, and you might be better off against a physical god starting with T1 BoV if you want that rush.
Horrific Emblem is an okay relic, but you seem to suggest it in all of your builds, and I'm not sure that's a best choice. Rather than including relics in each build example, you might have a separate listing for all relics you might want to consider, which honestly should be more than just those 2 relics...you might also consider Frenzy, Heavenly, and Shell as options.
And rather than just full build examples, you might give maybe 2 full build examples, list what you consider to be core items, and then list other situational items. You can categorize as you see fit, and I might point you to how I do it in some of my guides so you can see my presentation preference. Not saying you have to do it this way, but it gives readers options and a better understanding of valid options.

The CDR and mana are also obviously very helpful and appealing to Chaac, and the mana pool means he almost never has to go back to base.
Obviously, the negative here is that you're not building any protections, which can be dangerous. But Chaac is a relatively safe god with good ranged clear, has a slow in his kit to help keep melee enemies off his back, etc., so it can work.
If you're confident in your matchup, or are getting ahead early, it's a direction you can choose. You can even rush Trans with a T2 start, but again...more risky. Just have to keep that in mind.
My suggestions: Warrior Tabi (higher power is better for his heal), Gladiator's Shield, Blackthorn Hammer, Void Shield, Oni Hunter's Garb, Spirit Robe, lategame sell Gladiator's Shield for Mantle of Discord. This is just a generic build example, and you haven't stated what game mode the build is for.
Also seeing as you put a con as "slow", you could always consider Talaria Boots and Masamune as items, and in certain matchups Witchblade or Winged Blade can be bought.
In assault there's quite a few starts he could take.
