Also, Aphrodite's soul mate gains 50% of her MP5 and 10% of her Physical and Magical Protections.

If an enemy would be hit by both blasts, they will only be affected by the one originating from Aphrodite.

Welcome!

Hi and welcome to my very first build/guide to Aphrodite! She's my favorite character and the character I do the best as. I play on Xbox One so sorry for you PC players I don't have access to every item to use. Which there just might be some items on there that are better. Feel free to comment and let me know what I can do to improve this guide or any future guide please :)

Aphrodite's Pros and Cons

Pros
- Very tanky for a support due to her Love Birds ability
- She can restore an allies mana by soulmating them and using Meditation
- Good damage all game comboing her Kiss, Love Birds, and finishing with Back Off!
- Great minion clear

Cons
- She can't heal more than one ally at a time or minions compared to characters like Hel and Guan Yu
- If you get caught early game you will probably die due to long cooldowns and not that great of heals.
- Very passive until you get built

How I Play (Roughly, This is a super situational character and game...)

You really need to play safe and stay in your tower and just clear out minion waves as you level up and earn gold. And you always want to communicate with your ally in lane of when you will drop a Kiss to stun and when your heals and ultimate are down, so they know you're not currently able to heal them or make them immune to save them. Get the gold you need to buy your Shoes of Focus as soon as you can and buy them immediately when you can.

Once you have those just save up for your Book of Thoth so you can start building your stacks. Once you have that you will have the cooldown reduction and power boost you need to play a little bit less passively. You could actually get some good damage in on who you're laning against with your Kiss, Love Birds, Back Off! combo. You should be fine for a pretty long time and may even be able to get a few kills in. Once you have 2400 gold, recall and buy your Chronos' Pendant. The maxed out cooldown reduction will make it so you can keep yourself and your soulmate alive much more successfully with your Love Birds and also give you mana regen to help you not run out of mana and help your ally regen their mana as well!

Now you will definitely have the ability to stay in lane just about as long as you want. Once you get 2150 gold though you wanna recall and grab the Spear of the Magus this item will help you to drop the health of opponents who have some defense, as it has flat penetration as well as lowering their defense by 10% when they are damaged by your abilities. Which your Love Birds hit 6 times total and they will lower the defense so that the last 4 hits are the strongest and your finishing Back Off! Really tears into the enemy. If you feel like you're taking too much damage though you could build Hide of the Urchin first. I will rarely need to build defense first, only Loki tends to bother me enough to make me build it first. From there you just play until you have enough money for your Rod of Tahuti to get a big final damage spike in the end of the game, and when you have your full build you'll want to max out your Meditation to a Greater Meditation so you have a back up heal if you get low and your Love Birds are on cooldown.

This build works for me in every game mode, I usually like to play conquest solo lane, play a little bit more support in arena prioritizing stuns and heals, and in siege I usually like to lane with a mana heavy character because I can help to restore their mana. And whenever your team is engaged in a fight do your best to keep an eye out for who is low on health and just throw a Kiss at them so you can heal them with your Love Birds. And let your team know to communicate when they're in lane and out of mana, as you can restore 30% of 75% of your own mana to them using your Meditation. I wish you all luck playing as Aphrodite and thank you for reading!

The meditation is an interesting choice on her but as the others have said besides the lack of Rod and asclepius it is a valid build and good guide.

I love the Meditation on Aphro, because of her passive (giving 30% of all mana to partner). This means that your team gets 130% of meditation, and if you get Mana camp, 130% of that too.

Rod of Asclepius is a great item but I feel it's better suited to a character like Hel who has short ranged heals and will get the benefits due the heal boosts short range. On Aphro I am not usually very close to my allies, I stay in range to remain Soul Mates but far enough that we have more ground covered and range for our abilities when enemies tread to close. Thank you again for the feedback.

Rod of Asclepius has a pretty big radius, 70 units is a lot. To put in perspective, your basic attacks with Aphrodite have a range of 55 units. Much more than 70 units away and your teammates begin to break off from your kiss.

You loose movement speed without Rod. And conter to healing reduction

Not going to lie, this is really a "ok" build, since you don't have Rod of Asclepius, but yeah, you pretty much covered aphro.

Thank you so much for the feedback. I myself will only build Rod of Asclepius when I don't need to build my Hide of the Urchin. The 15% increase tends to not make a huge difference to my allies since we tend to move around a lot and get too far away. Although it is a good item I feel Book of Thoth is better because the larger Magic Power boost pretty much makes up for the heal boost. The only benefit I see with Rod is the movement speed for lane rotations.

I made an Aphro Support build on my account, but this seems pretty good. If you want some help formatting, just send me a PM and I will help you as someone else helped me.
