Introduction

Heyo! This is a more recent guide for Mercury that I thought I should make since I haven't seen a real recent one up yet. Now I know what you're thinking; "But Master Dantebeetus, the build that you have up is already made!" You're right! It is! But it is also outdated. We need something more recent! Now let's get down to Mercury.

Items

Building Mercury surprisingly doesn't take long to do if you can get a good start in the early game. I will say, these items once at full build will really help you rack in kills as long as you have team mates ready to help.

Warrior Tabi: This item will definitely help Mercury in the beginning, especially because of his Passive. It will increase Mercury's physical power by 40, and increase his movement speed by 18%

Golden Bow: This item will help with lane clearing. This item allows you to hit all units in a 15 ft radius with 50% of the damage. You'll be taking out minions with no problem, and you'll also be doing quite a bit more damage! Your physical power will increase by 35, your critical strike change will increase by 10%, and your movement speed will increase by 5%, adding onto Mercury's passive.

Asi: This item itself gives Mercury a little bit of lifesteal, and it will give him quite a bit of attack speed as well. The passive of this item will give you 25% lifesteal for five seconds after dropping below 35% health. This item will increase Mercury's attack speed by 30%, his lifesteal by 15%, and his physical penetration by 15%.

Deathbringer: This item is definitely a game changer once you buy it. This will help you melt enemy gods and minions with no real problem unless they have some sort of heals. Even then, you can still destroy those in your path! This item will increase your physical power by 50 and increase his critical strike chance by 20%. The item's passive increases Critical Strike damage by 50%.

Witchblade: This item not only let you take less damage, you also hit faster! I know what you're thinking; "Mercury iz alredy 2 fazt". No! Stop it! Bad! Mercury will NEED this item if he wants to really start taking out enemies with ease and a short amount of time. This item increases Mercury's physical protection by 45 and increase his attack speed by 15%. The aura that this item has will decrease enemies' by 15% and their physical power by 25 in a 55 foot radius.

Rage: Here's the icing on the cake, everyone! No longer will you have to deal with not being able to do the little bit of extra damage to those enemies! This item right here will help you do so, and will do a damn good job. This item increases your physical power by 30 and your critical strike change by 30%. The passive will allow you to stack an extra 10% critical strike chance for every basic attack that doesn't do a critical. The max is five stacks.

Skills

Made You Look
Mercury moves in the blink of an eye, dealing one melee attack to every enemy within the target area. Each hit may trigger item effects for basic attacks, and can critical hit.

Maximum Velocity
Mercury passively gains movement speed. When this ability is activated, Mercury increases his attack speed.

Special Delivery
Mercury dashes forward, knocking aside minions, grabbing the first enemy god he encounters and spinning them. The enemy god takes damage until the effect ends, and Mercury throws the god in the direction of his choice.

Sonic Boom
Mercury gathers energy for a powerful dash, with the range extending as he does so. He travels the distance faster than the speed of sound, dealing damage to all enemies, stunning them and spinning them around in a random direction.

Fastest God Alive
This ability is a passive. For every 1 ft traveled, Mercury gains a 0.1% physical power bonus on his next basic attack (max 50%). Mercury also gains additional physical power equal to 25% of movement speed from items or abilities.

Pros / Cons

Pros:

Can do a lot of damage

Is a fairly fast character in terms of both attack and movement speed

He is very good at one-on-one fights

Spamming his taunts has never been so rewarding!

Cons:
Is very squishy

Can't do very well against multiple people

Will almost constantly need support from someone else when under pressure

Can be easily killed if rooted, slowed or stunned without Purification Beads on

Playstyle

Mercury is not a cake walk here, friends. A lot of his stuff is single target against enemy gods. I will be explaining exactly how to use him.

Combos:
Almost any combo with Mercury will work, but I'll tell you some of my favorites!

Combo 1: Hit an enemy either from the side or behind with Special Delivery and activate Maximum Velocity. This is where you want to get some basic attacks in while you can. If the enemy is close to death but is running away, try and finish them off with Made You Look.

Combo 2: Try and hit the enemy from either the side or from behind with Sonic Boom. Then, activate Maximum Velocity and start to hit them with basic attacks. Before the stun from your ultimate has worn off the enemy, hit them with Special Delivery. Then, try to attack them again before they try to run off. As before, finish them off with Made You Look if they are close to death.

Combo 3: You'll use this to initiate an attack if the enemy is getting close to you. Activate Maximum Velocity and start trading hits with the enemy. Before they can run away, hit them with Special Delivery and send them flying back. Try and finish them off with either basic attacks or with Made You Look.

Initiating Team Attack:

Most of the time, I would be the one to initiate a team attack if it calls for it. What you need to do is get out of the view of the enemies before starting to charge up Sonic Boom. Then, hit the enemies with the stun as your teammates are starting to close in on them. Active Maximum Velocity and start attacking the enemies along with your teammates. Anyone that tries to run away will have to be pulled back in by your Special Delivery. Finish off any weak enemies with Made You Look.

Lane Clearing:

Lane Clearing will be a bit difficult for Mercury early game due to his small AOE for Made You Look. The best thing to do is travel behind minions, start attacking with Made You Look and then activate Maximum Velocity, finishing off the rest.

Jungling:

Jungling with Mercury is actually fairly simple in Conquest. What you need to do is take either Mid or Solo Lande with someone until you reach Level 5. Once you do, you will have to start traveling between the three lanes and surprise most enemies from attacking out of the jungle. Make sure you are constantly grabbing camps and taking over lanes for teammates who have died. Leveling up will be very easy once you get the hang of it.

Summary

Mercury can either take Solo, Mid or Jungle in Conquest. I've been able to handle all three with ease. Trust me when I say that Mercury is really fun to use. I believe if you're looking for an obnoxious-sounding Assassin who is redy 2 go fazt and who is ready to destroy everyone one-by-one, Mercury is for you. I'm Dantebeetus, and thank you for looking through my first guide.

Your idea of Death bringer is wrong.
What passive adds 50% crit chance?
The item passive is 50% crit damage and Mercury's passive is up to 50% physical power for a basic attack.

Other than that, the guide was a good read and helped me get an idea of what I want to do.
Thanks.
