Mercury kinda like sonic but Roman

Mercury the messenger god is a fast hard hitting melee assassin. He has speed that can get him in and out quickly. He can be a great jungler, can play decently well as an adc, and can do pretty well in pretty much and game mode. I will be updating this every patch that would significantly change it, and will take a little while to finish so don't worry if there are missing segments. I will get to it when I get time.

Pros
High damage late game
Good clear with made you look and golden bow
Speed to get in and out quick
Ult and special delivery can be an initiate or an escape

Cons
Very squishy, especially if you get caught by cc
Ult can be hard to hit at longer ranges
Ult could land you in a sticky spot
Special delivery can throw an enemy away from a teammates ability

Golden bow is basically essential, it provides power, movement speed, and it helps clear waves, mercury's 1 is basically an aoe basic, so golden bow will trigger along with crit items and other items like frost bound hammer. Golden bow pretty much makes his 1 clear better, because whatever you hit with it will trigger the passive and hit the things around it, and it counts for all the minions or jungle camp creatures inside the circle.
Deathbringer is a must if you want crit, it gives power to hit harder, crit chance to crit, you can crit with your made you look, and it gives extra crit damage. It gives tons of damage and crit chance. It is worth the expensive price.
Wind demon is a really good second crit item, like Deathbringer it gives more damage after crits by giving Mercury 20% movement speed, which gives him power with his passive, and it makes him faster at the same time.
