Maui charges up, spinning his hook and preparing it to go farther the longer he charges. When he refires, the projectile damages enemies and stops on first god hit. If Maui hits an enemy god he reels them in, crippling and vortexing them towards himself for 1.5s. Maui can cancel this ability at any time.

Maui throws an Ulua made of magical water that explodes on landing, giving all allied gods within 35 units Protections and Movement Speed for 5s. The Ulua creates a pillar of water that lasts for 10s. If an allied god stands on the water for 1s, a bubble forms around them and carries them to Maui’s location, where they receive Protections and Movement Speed for 5s. If Maui leaves the aura radius and no ally is interacting with the water, it is destroyed.

Maui leaps, latches his hook onto a ray of sunlight, and swings from it. He swings back and forth before he leaps from the rope and slams his hook into the ground, damaging and stunning all enemies in the area. While he swings, Maui can reactivate this ability at any time to leap early.

Maui selects an area, becomes CC immune and leaps into the air. He throws his hook at the target area and pulls up an island, knocking all enemies in the area up into the air and pulls them in front of himself. The island remains on the battleground, blocking player movement for 4s. Maui can reactivate this ability to destroy the island early.

How To Use Maui Correctly

Maui is currently a top support for multiple reasons. In classic Amoral guide fashion I will not be making a flashy guide with lots of colors and pictures, but I will go over each of the abilities and give examples of when they are useful, and what you should be looking to do with each one.

Master Fisherman This ability is just a better a Sylvanus pull. The only downside to this ability is the charge up for max range, however with this ability being able to suck in a player you hit while also crippling them. It is a contender for top 5 support ability. Great times to use this would be as set up for your ganking jungler, being able to stop X god from using their mobility gives your jungler plenty of time to hit them with their kit. This is just one of the many examples for how to properly think about this ability.

Mystical Ulua this ability is arguably the best support ability in all of smite. With a very large range of activation providing a major buff to protections and providing movement this ability really turns the tide of any fight in your favor. Beyond providing those buffs, any god that stands in the center of the ability will be teleported after a short time to Maui. This is great for having your Solo laner step up to scout around without risking them getting caught out. This ability almost has 0 down time, so during any fight on the map you are involved in you will always bring major buffs to your team.

Solar Swing is our movement. Jumping up in the air lets you swing 2x both directions before landing forward. If any god is under you when you land you will stun them. This ability does scale with its stun duration as well as you rank it up. This is a great engage tool, and really helps you to enter a fight without being cc'd. However the issue you will find with this ability is the swing can not be controlled, you will always swing forward first, and then back. You have to make sure you are paying attention when you cast this ability, that way you can predict the enemy movement and hit them.

Landfall This ultimate ranks up there with top 5 support ults in the game. Being able to knock up as many players as you hit, and bring them back to you while also putting a giant island obstacle in the way really helps to control the flow of a game. Much like Ymir wall you are able to use this ultimate to block off paths, forcing the enemy to path a way they would not prefer, leaving them open to engage on using your 3 or 1. With a massive knock up you are able to utilize this time to prepare your next moment before the enemy has even touched the ground.
