PROS -One of the strongest early games (not that great anymore thanks Hirez and 4.19) -Great snowball potential -Easy to pick up -Satisfying plays -Amazing Ganks/Rotation |
CONS -Weak teamfight potential -Hard to come back from falling behind -Hard to master -Mana hungry -Weak Lategame |
Every ability allows you to hit a straight basic after using it and you also have to hit basics to set up your Feather Step. Also Awilix can make great use of the Mana regen because she is, as already stated, very mana hungry. This item will most likely be the second Item you get, although you can also choose Transcendence if you have some excess gold since it's more expensive but provides a higher damage spike |
This Item was good in the Meta several Months ago and that was the time I really tried it on Awilix and I feel it really fits in the build. The damage is great to have on the Feather Step with essentially 100% scaling and the protections helped me stay alive countless of times. Now that the flat magical prtection is gone I also see myself using stone cutting sword more than this item just because of the protection shred |
Nothing really much to say here. Core item for most ability based Assassins. |
So this might be a surprise now but I consider this Item really good on Awilix. Feather Step, Moonlight Charge and Gravity Surge set up this item and allow for additional basic attack to still have the debuff applied while attacking after using these abilites. Feather Step even already gets it's own damage amplified. The power and Health is also nice to have. |
You can switch out Runeforged Hammer with Heartseeker if you want to have more bursty damage output once in a while but I prefer Runeforged Hammer because the passive is always applied and it offers some health. Mostly you would not be able to hit 5 basics in a fight to make use of Heartseeker a second time after engaging. |
Great Item if you want to tear down squishies because the basics you would have to hit for the damage reduction can easily be managed during Moonlight Charge's knockup or just while setting up your Feather Step. |
Also core item on most assassins if you want to shred down Tanks. Pairs really well with Runeforged Hammer. In Season 5 however this item only really pays off on a tanky enemy team. If they don't have more than one Tanks Stone Cutting Sword is most likely the way to go or also even Void Shield or Brawler's Beatstick as alternative pen options. |
Can also be considered in some situations if you feel like you need passive sustain in your kit and can replace either Transcendence or Hydra's Lament |
So with Transcendence now getting an additional 10% CDR I really think some Assassins can successfully pick it up although it is relatively pricey and needs it's time to stack It will pay off most of the time with the 100% scaling on Feather Step or 70% on Moonlight Charge also your basics will now hit even harder. If you want to maximize your damage Trans is the way to go! |
This was my first Guide and I wanted to make it compact to begin with. I am planning on adding some advanced mechanics and other guides to make the whole page more advanced but thats for a later date. I would really appreciate any criticism and ideas to make the guide better. Thanks for reading my Awilix Guide! |

Also 2nd item is a bit early to get Masamune in your defensive build.
I would change it to be like this: Warrior Tabi, Jotunn's Wrath, Masamune, Ancile, Titan's Bane, Spirit Robe.
Also consider the tier 1 Katana and Mace starts instead of tier 1 Boots for your start.
Actually, though, I wonder if Soul Eater really is all that bad for her, IF you decide not to go with that Trans/Jotunn's/Hydra's combo. I know she's meant to burst quickly and get out, but the recent buff to SE might make it a bit nicer for some general sustain.
That said, especially with that Hydra's buff, it's more core than ever. If you decide not to go Trans, I can see SE being used, but 40% CDR not really required, and hard to argue with the core build.
However, the fact it also heals based on ability damage means she gets some nice sustain effect out of anything she does.
Yes, she's going to disengage quickly out of combat...but if an engagement costs her 1/2 of her health, is she going to want to back for full health, or can she hit a few jungle camps and heal up if she has SE? Being able to stay out and continue her rounds seems valuable to me.
If you don't see value in that, you don't see value in that, and I can understand, but at least on paper, it makes sense. The fact it also provides some really nice power is a bonus. Or maybe the healing is the bonus, and you get this mainly for the power and CDR.
The only ability she has that interacts with it at all is Feather Step, and even then it only applies to the actual feather step damage
So yeah...hmmm...guess that makes RFH a somewhat lackluster item on her again...
Good overall summary of abilities and item choices. I have some comments, hope you don't mind.
As such...I think Trans might be a better standard option 2nd, but would love to hear your thoughts.
Anyway, good tips for the abilities, and am interested in getting your opinion on the above points!
The only comment I have is the "First Back" in your build section. As a jungler you should back AS SOON as you have enough for full Warrior Tabi. Running around with that gold and only 2 starter items makes you a walking treasure chest for anyone who can get the kill on you.
I'm a Fenrir main so naturally I despise Awilix >.>, but nonetheless, +1 from me :) great job.
