Start with the starter item and some pots. Build in this order and sell starter when you can afford bloodforge to replace it. Make sure auto cancel with Loki’s abilities hence Hydras. Happy killing Loki Mains

Went 12-1 then 11-1 just today. The defense is really underrated in the build as well! Try it out and lemme how it goes! You still pretty much two shot squishies so don’t worry. Max the the 1 and 3 and Ult. I’ve had no problems with the damage.

I build a bit differently, but here's my arena build:
Warrior tabi
Jotunns wrath
Hydra's lament
Heartseeker
Brawler's beat stick
The crusher
You can replace any of the bottom three items with transcendence (build it first or second if you decide to get it).
I just had two games with my build but remember replaced the last item with Deathbringer or Rage and went 12-1 and 11-1. Arena and Clash
Most Mages, Assassins and hunters are not building
Defense. You can also switch out one of the last items for
a good pen Item like Titans or Jotunn’s if you see the enemy is
building a lot of defense.
I can see a unique, niche situation where a high MS/chase Loki build could work and be fun...but it's typically not a good idea. I would consider trolling with this build if the following was in place:
Basically, you've taken the concept of chasing people down, and overdone it to the extent that it's hurting the potential this build would otherwise have to deal better damage.
I personally feel that, even in a basic attack/MS focused build, you really do still want CDR. The easiest and most obvious solution there is to get Jotunn's Wrath.
In terms of dropping items, if I were to try to make this build more effective, I'd drop Atalanta's Bow, because the passive MS boost requires you to hit the enemy with basics, but you should already be able to stick to the enemy with Hastened Katana. In addition, I'd probably also drop Warrior Tabi, because as stated above, diminishing returns on MS. Keep in mind, you also get a huge 35% MS boost from Vanish.
I'd also contemplate dropping Heartseeker, as it might be a bit difficult to build stacks efficiently...maybe it's okay, but I'd probably consider a bit later in the build due to the passive having better effect once more power is built.
I'd thus replace Atalanta's and Warrior Tabi, and rearrange the build order as such:
I honestly wouldn't know, I've never played crit loki before and I don't intend to anytime in the future.
(Keep in mind, I only suggested the crit in my other comment as an option if going with the basic attack troll build...but my OTHER suggested option, using Qin's, is better)
Loki's basic attack chain, when hitting consecutively, is 1/.5/.5/.5/1.5x damage and swing time.
Now, crits enhance basic attack damage. On that first hit, and say you have Deathbringer as one of your crit items, you'll get 2.3x your base basic attack damage (230%). That's substantial (but also, that first hit means you probably haven't stacked any protection reduction).
However, you see all those .5s? His 2nd, 3rd, and 4th hits all hit quickly...but they only deal 1/2 the damage of the first hit. IF you crit with any of those, you'll deal...get this...0.5 x 230% = 1.15, or only 15% higher damage than your first hit. That's not BAD, especially since those hits come more quickly...but it's not the consistently powerful crits that a hunter (who has no attack progression, just a steady 1, 1, 1 attack speed) will have.
IF you get a crit on that last hit, it'll be a whopper...but that's a big if, because you're relying on RNG. The 2x crit Rage + Deathbringer combo will give you the best chance to crit (65% total once stacked), but that's IF it crits, and IF you can get that 5th hit off.
Qin's Sais, on the other hand, will go GREAT with an attack progression like this. That passive is not dependent on the base damage of the attack chain. Even if you only hit at .5 the base power, you'll get the full passive damage. (Then again, his targets are typically going to be squishies since he only builds Stone Cutting Sword, so he won't be getting as much use out of Qin's potential against them)
All this points again to why Loki is an ability-based god, and the fact he can attack cancel with abilities often is why Hydra's Lament and Jotunn's Wrath and high pen are the general way to go.
His auto attacks on the back of an enemy do bonus damage. Does the bonus damage apply to crits as well? So if I managed to build hydra's and deathbringer, use ult, follow up with an AA cancel, would DB passive+hydra passive +loki passive of auto attack from behind all proc bonus damage?
300% / 150% / 150% / 150% / 450%.
We'd probably have to confirm with testing, but that looks accurate.
But again, the advantages of crit on loki are just outweighed by a full pen build.
