This build is all about staying in lane for long periods of time, winning team fights and duals (both the Gamemode and lane fights) this isn't the best overall Loki build this is specifically being able to burst down enemy gods, taking out that one god that's wrecking your team and getting back in lane to take down towers, something that this build also goes well with.
Some people may wonder why this build? when i can go with stone cutting sword, Deathbringer and Malice and swap out Ninja Tabi with Warrior Tabi, well... quite simply this
-Why Ninja Tabi? well, quite simply it's made for assassins, warrior tabi is made for warriors because the extra 20 power is not better than the 20% attack speed that ninja does, it's not a huge difference but it's noticeable, when i plugged the number in a calculator with 40 power vs. 20 power + 20% attack speed (plus it gives 100 extra mana which does help you early game but let's not get into that) Ninja Tabi got about 11% extra dps than warrior with a god with 75 physical protections
-SCS is good although i like Bloodforge better bc the mvt. speed after the kill plus the Lifesteal plus the extra 25 power i've found to be better, although you can substitute it for that, for you can use SCS instead of Fatalis even
-Why no Crit? quite simply because you can't crit on towers and phoenix's, you may 2 shot a mage or hunter but it will take you MUCH longer to get through a tower than a god and you don't win by killing gods per-say, you win by killing the titsn, also crits are there when you need them, also they aren't there when you need them the most also some gods have resistance to crits like Geb and Hou-Yi and some items counter them, so building a **** ton of power will be much better in the long term than crit
Pros:
- Able to go against god vs god in early to mid game
- Physical power, get really good damage scaling
- Stay in lane for long periods of time
Cons:
- Lacks wave clear early game (although with the damage scaling with the items you won't struggle for too long)
- Defense, just like most assassins Loki is squishy, Lifesteal on Bloodforge does help a little bit
the only items that are a must-have are Hydras, Transcendence, Ninja-Warrior Tabi, and kind-of bloodforge, you can put in SCS for BF just i love that passive, for the last item you can put Fatalis, Ichaivel, Qin's, SCS, or even protections like Hide of the urchin or mantle of discord if you want, you're Loki you can do whatever you want.
Since this isn't a support build (obviously) and you're Loki so you won't be leading the fight you are going to have to pick your battles and be patient, you're not going to 2-shot a warrior at level 6, just get Ninjas and Jotuun's as early as you can, maybe a couple mana and health pots and farm up gold to really accelerate yourself to late game so THEN you can start doing Loki BS that we all love doing

Loki is ability based, just so you know.
Also, you'd have to rely early on that Trans to help your Decoy wave-clear function, so it needs to be leveled much more than 1 time in the first 7 levels. If you're holding Solo lane, it needs to be your priority. Once Trans is online, your clear and Decoy should be able to easily handle the wave.
It's good that Jotunn's Wrath and Hydra's Lament are in there...those are absolutely core.
Other explanations are misinformed. Sure, Ninja Tabi will give better DPS...DPS refers to damage per second with regard to basics, and once you've got enough power through other items, attack speed will have more effect on DPS. But as you basically admit with Jotunn's and Hydra's in your build, he's an ability-based god...not basic attack.
And sorry, but Warrior Tabi is not named because it's better for warriors. The higher power is way more functional when it comes to gods relying on abilities, specifically for scaling. And Loki has amazing scaling through ALL of his abilities...100% and above.
Bloodforge is not a must-have. It can be nice, but the core are Warrior Tabi, Transcendence, Jotunn's Wrath, Hydra's Lament, and Titan's Bane, at least when it comes to Conquest. That leaves 1 slot for situational, usually covered by The Crusher or Brawler's Beat Stick, but Bloodforge and Shifter's Shield are other functional options.
In a non-Conquest match, you can consider foregoing Trans and getting something else...though Trans can still absolutely be effective.
