Made infamous by our lord and savior CycloneSpin, Kali ADC is a fun hyper-carry melee ADC that is pretty situational but can definitely carry games. Her late game potential is unreal and you can do some ridiculous stuff. Also, people don't often see this pick so you usually have the outplay advantage over an enemy if you know what you're doing.
Kali ADC generally does the same against most other ADCs. However, there are a few people you should avoid picking her into:
ADC:
Sol's 3 can negate much of your damage or make your ult useless.
Chronos his ult can save himself a lot, but you could still kind of make this work.
Hou Yi can jump away from you and burst you down if you get out of position. Still can do well against him but you have to be very careful.
Jungle:
Awilix's ult counters your jump.
Serqet generally does well against Kali by negating her healing with her ult.
Support:
Khepri's ult can make your ult useless, but depending on how well you are doing you can still just burst them down after revived.
Basically, the "Standard" build should be used in most situations. If the enemy team is insanely squishy or you are snowballing super hard and just really carrying, the crit build has a bit more burst, but less tower damage and tank-shred. The crit-build is self-explainable just sell Ichaival for executioner late game.
Passive: Marked for Death can be kind of hit or miss but can definitely work in your advantage. Besides being able to dive hard and gets tons of gold off of your target, the fact that the target switches to whomever killed you last makes it so you can shut down a fed enemy and get tons of gold if you shut them down.
1. Nimble Strike is your main getaway skill. If you don't have blink you can also use as an engage, but this is a bit more risky.
2. Lash serves as the majority of Kali's wave-clear and burst damage. Basically how to use this in duo is have your support zone so you don't get super poked, quick walk up to the melee minions and aim the ability so that the 3 daggers hit the back archers. In fights make sure all 3 daggers hit your main target.
Make sure to use this ability after using your third ability if using against a god so that it is affected by the physical power buff.
3. Incense is Kali's only form of CC, but I mean it is an AoE stun so it's still great. It gives an awesome physical power buff that buffs the damage of your Lash. Use this ability to self-peel, secure kills, and to interrupt get away skill like Chiron's dash.
4. Destruction is Kali's ultimate ability, and definitely one of her best tools. This ability is best used to secure your target as it protects you from all CC except for stuns. It can also used defensively, but it does only return you to 15% of your health, so usually you want to use it and then bail immediately with Nimble Strike to save yourself. This thing does work in teamfights and makes you immune to death for a very long period of time. Using this at the right time can be tricky, but also don't be too afraid to tower dive a target with it, or save it too often.
Kali ADC is a very different pick that can lead to great gains if carrying or severe losses from behind. It requires great positioning and lots of farm to pull off, as well as intelligent teamfighting, but once she is fed it is hard to counter-play.
