So you got yourself a Norse trickster...

Welcome! Please sit and relax, and listen to this tale of woe... from the enemy team. It was a day just like any other and three players had decided to play Joust. They went with Hercules as a Guardian, Neith as a Hunter and Anubis as a Mage. A good team no doubt, maybe with some experience from early games. Strolling casually down the middle and only lane, picking off enemy minions, they arrived at the first tower. Finally, they saw the enemy team in the flesh. Poseidon as the Mage, Sun Wukong as the Warrior and... Nobody?! They knew there was a Loki, that was for sure but where was he? Behind them? No, that wasn't it. Beside them? Not that either. It was then that Neith decided to throw caution to the wind and backed up without telling Hercules and Anubis. Suddenly, Loki popped into existence behind Neith, his blades shining with white buff energy. Neith tries to run away back to her team, she really does but Hercules is distracted with Sun Wukong and Anubis is avoiding Poseidon's water attacks. Already 3/4 of her health are gone and she decided to make a jump for it but alas... It was for nought. She hits Loki with her rooting attack and walks away quickly though not before Loki gets one final basic attack at her and hits her full on the back.

"First Blood!" Cries the announcer as Neith pout's and cocoons herself, preparing to respawn. Hercules turns around, better Sun Wukong hit him in the back than Loki getting a shot at him. Anubis walks away from Poseidon's reach and turns to Loki, trying to root him in place with his Mummy wraps. Though where he thought Loki was, suddenly he is gone! His mana is low and he goes back to his fountain to replenish. So on it goes during the match, Loki getting behind Neith, Anubis and even Hercules and with his attack speed maxed out, makes easy pickings of them.

"Lucky," you might say. "It's easy to get a lot of kills if the enemy team has no idea of what they are doing." A good point indeed! but not the case in this match. It all ends with Loki having a killstreak of 17 to 1 death, and the enemy team surrenders.

Allow me to continue on with the next chapter.

Behind enemy lines, now what?

Let's ay you have somehow made it behind enemy lines without anyone noticing, now what? Do you attack the Mage or the hunter? Or do you try and scare them and break their formation?

First, Most Valuable Targets. It might seem tempting to go for the player with the highest killstreak, yes it might seem like the right thing to do. It is not! You go for the Hunter or Mage with the lowest Health but largest damage output. Go invisible, buff your blades and plunge them into the unsuspecting back of your enemy. Now they are dead and the enemy team is down a player for maybe ten seconds. The announcer informs everyone that someone ahs died and the enemy team whirls around to try and kill you. Do you run? Yes, you do. It's why you have the sprint relic, remember? Activate it, go invisible (if you can) and dash away like a slithering snake!

If the enemy team is smart, they will let you go unless you have low health, then they will chase you until they died or you have successfully made it away. Press B and go to your fountain. Ready? Then go and repeat the strategy!

I might have hypothetically screwed up and am about to die. What do I do?

Dying in Smite is the utmost for of shame there is!

I'm joking, it happens all the time. If you are aiming for killstreaks that go beyond 10, here is what you have to do.

First, accept the possibility of having to start your killstreak over.

Second, don't be the player that gets angry whenever they die. Getting angry is the best way to fail at grinding your opponents faces in the dirt.

Third. There is nothing wrong in using your teleport ability to get away from danger. But only if you are desperate enough. I'm talking crazy desperate. Like, you are going to embarrass your ancestors if you die.

Just have fun, this is the build that works best with me and if you don't think it's your thing, then go ahead and try other builds. there are great styles of play for Loki players.

Ta!

This build is how not to build Loki.

Late game this build will be much worse than most Loki builds. With lack of actual damage and pen, this build is easily shut down by builds with more damage and even one or two physical protection items. I did enjoy reading it though :)

A nice fast hitting Loki but you have little penetration.

I tried it out, and mid game I was shredding through people, but if the enemy team has crowd control early and late game you could struggle. Nice Guide Overall
