Cupid fires an arrow of love at the target, causing damage when it hits and slowing them. After a short time, the targets heart explodes, dealing the damage again to the target and all enemies within the radius. If Cupid has max Heart Stacks then all enemies in the explosion area are Stunned for 1s. Minions take 55% increased damage from Heart Bomb.

Introduction

Hi! This is my first guide to how to play a god. I main ADC and currently in Plat V. I feel Cupid is one of the best adc's in the game at the moment. His kit has a lot to offer, to laning phase and team fights. If you have any questions, suggestions, comments, or any criticism, feel free to leave a comment or message me. I'll try to explain my reasoning behind each item, skill, and play.

Pros / Cons

>Great DPS
>Great Sustain for not only him, but his support as well
>Good Lock Down
>Decent Escape
>Good AOE CC with Heart Bomb and Fields Of Love
>Great at contesting objectives with his 1 and 4.
>I love you <3

>Kit revolves around landing skill shots
>Relies on having his passive fully stacked before an engage
>Squishy
>After Flutter he is a sitting duck
>Needs to push wave to get passive fully stacked(This can be good if you are trying to push the wave to the tower, but if you want to freeze the lane it'll be harder to get your stun.
>Camera feels too low to the ground(This is a personal thing)

Items

Death's Toll or Bluestone Pendant?
I'm a firm believer in bluestone pendant. Why? It lets you constantly have mana. If you do end up getting low, Cupid's 2 is a heal. I personally choose bluestone on pretty much every hunter. It's a fantastic item to pick up, since there isn't a blue buff for you to pick up anymore.

Transcendence??? I never build it. It gives good damage and mana, but with the bluestone pendant, you wont be running out of mana. I prefer Dev. gauntlets over transcendence.

Void Shield If you need a little more tank, void shield is a great item. It gives protection, and gives you more damage. Yes, you are sacrificing a little more damage for more sustain, but you aren't a burst assassin. Sustained Dps is better in my opinion.

The Crusher?? I personally like the item. If you are behind, and you feel like you can split push safely, pick it up. It's risky because you don't have a great escape. I'm still playing around with it, and will update after I learn more.

I'll add more info of the other alternative items after I play around with them a bit more. If you have any feed back with those items, please pm so I can your experience to the guide.

Skills

Lovestruck This is Cupid's bread and butter. With this it opens a lot of options. You can stun the whole team with a nicely aimed Heart Bomb. This passive is what makes Cupid. Take advantage of it!

Heart Bomb This is Cupid's 1. When used with a fully stacked passive, it provides a 1s aoe stun when it explodes. It deals initial damage once on impact and damage again after 3s. It also provides a 30% slow to impacted target. If used correctly this move is devastating.

Share The LoveThis is Cupid's 2. Cupid drops 3 hearts in a triangle formation. DO NOT THROW THEM TOWARDS THE ENEMY. I swear 9/10 Cupid's I've seen while supporting, throw the hearts towards the enemy. If you want to heal your support, throw them behind you where it is safe. What's the point of using these if you will take more damage picking them up, than health healed. It provides healing of 30/50/70/90/110. If an ally picks it up you will receive 30 mana back. If an ally picks up 2 of the 3 hearts, you will gain 10 mana out of using that move. Also using this move uses your passive stacks!

FlutterCupid's 3. After using this move, a trail is behind you where you dashed. The trail increases movement speed. Also using the move increases your attack speed for a short time. I'm not saying use it to engage for the attack speed, because without it, an assassin can come in and clean you up. It's a nice tip to know if you get into a sticky situation where you need that extra auto attack. Be wary when using it, because like I said, without it you are a sitting duck.

Fields Of Love Cupid's 4. This move is fantastic. When used, it slows, cripples, then upon explosion it damages and mesmerizes. What is mesmerize? It's similar to a stun, but if attacked, the enemy will "wake up". If you use it with a fully stacked passive, it also will stun when it explodes. I prefer using my passive on my 1 instead of this. I will explain why later on.

Fighting Scenarios

In a team fight you want to stay in the back. Don't engage with your 3. I mentioned it already, but I want to make sure you guys don't engage with your 3. Cupid is very squishy, and after using his 3, he can die easily. If you are brawling with the enemy hunter, and they jump away with low health, you can use your 3 to catch up. Be sure to have good ward coverage and make sure you know where the enemy team is before losing your escape!

Gold Fury and Fire Giant
Both of these objectives are great for Cupid. You want to auto attack until you have your passive fully stacked. Land a 1 on an enemy, and immediately drop your ult on the enemy team. You want to use your passive on Heart Bomb and not your Fields Of Love. Why? First when the heart bomb explodes, you get an extra auto in before the Fields Of Love explodes and mesmerizes the enemy. Then you can wake up the enemy with another free auto attack. If you were to use your passive on Fields Of Love instead of Heart Bomb, you can only get off 1 auto attack with the stun from the Fields Of Love. After this just auto attack and stay in the back. These general concepts remain with all team fights.

Escaping: When escaping, if you can fully stack your passive, land Heart Bomb, and Flutter out. This will give you extra time to get away with the 1s stun.
