God overview

Hachiman

passive - Free mp5
1 - Makes autos long range and deal extra damage based on range.
2 - calls down banner that deals damage and boosts attack speed.
3 - dash and aoe damage that can stun.
ultimate - Movement speed and cc immunity + cone damage.

How he is played

When playing hachiman you want to stay back and farm using your #2 (use strategically to give extra attack speed to minions) Until you have your ult. Once you have your ult (and hopefully first 2 items) start pushing the enemy team back.DON'T BE OVER AGGRESSIVE!! Utilize poor positioning with the enemy team in conjunction with your 1 to slowly tick away their health. If the teams locks them down or if you get them low enough ult! DON'T SAVE YOUR ULT! Your ult is to be used as a finisher, if you think you have a shot TAKE IT! Don't try to use it simply to initiate or do some damage. (same with cernenos) Eventually it will be late game and you will be 2 shotting the enemy squishies from outside phoenix. JUST BE PATIENT!

Pros and cons of builds 1 & 2

The ultimate hunter

Pros
- Good early game damage and clear.
- Good late game burst w/ high crit chance.
- ridiculous range.
- High mobility.
- Fast attack speed
cons
- no ridiculous crits (100+)
- squishy
- no cdr
- life steal comes late

For the stack junkies

Pros
- Higher power (damage)
- high mobility
- More life steal (and much earlier)
- stacks?
- can be better for tanks and other non squishies
Cons
- stacks?
- ok no but fr it is wayyy hard to stack on hachiman without getting early kills.
- due to low scaling stacks arent as effective as they could be however ls is ls.
- still no cdr
- still squishy

Builds 3 & 4 (overview)

Conquest

Thanks to some help in the comments section I realized that i had only posted my more joust geared builds, so i decided to post my other builds.
The conquest build is good for well conquest. It is fairly standard, it gives you good early boxing and plenty of late game burst.

My standard build

The build posted (while maybe not best for hachiman) Is probably the most solid build I have come up with yet and the only build to make me a true believer in the power of the unicorn.

Tips

As of now i only know one, but i intend to keep playing hachiman and will post more later.

TIPS

1- You can use an auto attack IMMEDIATLY after finishing your ultimate. This is good for finishing off that last bit of the enemies hp.

Thanks for viewing! [More about me]

I am a regular smite player, and diamond Cern, hou yi, and rama (soon to be cupid)I enjoy helping people with builds. I play mostly joust, but enjoy everything that isn't clash or assault. Feel free to HMU to play sometime my GT is joeybot500

Thanks!

Just gonna echo off bran a little bit here.

Speaking from a mathematical dps standpoint, theres no reason triple crit ever. You always get better dps out of getting double crit and more pen, any pen, % or flat. Rage and deathbringer are the best crit items in the game, drop the star for something else.

Bloodforge is a gimicky item with a high cost and only a slight dps advantage over asi. Save the 1100 gold and get something cheaper.

Dont mix qins with crit, get % pen instead, like exe.

Build 4 has transcendence on a hunter that literally has a mana passive. You dont need it.

The standard hunter build is boots, devos, exe, rage, db, crusher
Sometimes frostbound or toxic blade could work instead of crusher
Thats it

And as far as bluestone start, you dont need it. Get deaths toll. Its OP. At level 6 with ninja boots, you still full clear wave with 1 ability, so bluestone immediately loses value. Deaths toll lets you box and sustain better, its the one you want.

Hi joey,

Thought I would comment on your builds. Although based on standard build theory overall (probably), these are still my opinions.

I do note that these builds are for non-Clash/Assault.

Build 1:
  • In almost all cases, I cannot recommend Odysseus' Bow as a starting item, or even an early item overall. Yes, the attack speed is amazing (best base in the game), and sure, the passive can help with your clear. That said, part of the passive's effectiveness depends on your power, which you get from items...and without other items, you're not getting the most out of the item as of course, this item has 0 power). As such, it's almost always best as a late-game teamfight item, not an early one.

  • If you do feel this can work as a Conquest build (which you don't say it can't), then you really should consider a starter item. They're priced very competitively to help with the early game. They can sometimes be good even for other modes like Joust and Siege, though depending on the starter, I start moving away from them as the modes turn to larger teamfights, like Arena.

  • You have 3x crit...but 0 penetration. You're really hurting your DPS, and this automatically means I cannot support the build. High pen, either from Titan's Bane or The Executioner (depending on item preference and build style) is generally important unless you're fighting an entire team of squishy gods where no one buys any protection...and even then, at least 1 flat pen item (like Brawler's Beat Stick or The Crusher) would still be incredibly helpful for your damage output.

  • Speaking of the 3x crit, your best bet is usually to get Deathbringer as the 2nd crit item. At least you don't get it 1st, but, still think it would be better in the 2nd crit slot.

Build 2:
  • This one has options that help the build potential, but the example full build is a bit of a hot mess. Again, the example has 0 pen, and you mix 2x crit with Qin's Sais. That's not the worst thing you could do, but it's just got some pretty big shortcomings.

  • Personally, if you start with Devourer's Gauntlet (no starter again, which may or may not be okay depending on mode), I personally like to get Ninja Tabi instead of Warrior Tabi. He doesn't have all that much attack speed steroid in his kit, so he can benefit from that, especially since Devo's will provide a good amount of power. Switched around, I'd probably go Warrior Tabi if I were to get that as a first item, to help with early clear and whatnot, and switch to Ninja late.

  • Not sure if you know WHY people don't often build Qin's + crit...but understand this. Qin's passive wants high attack speed to get more instances of the passive off...and the passive is also subject to damage mitigation from protections, so high penetration is also preferred. Qin's also doesn't get any added benefit from crit. Crit, on the other hand, wants high power (since crits double damage or higher if you have DB), and it ALSO wants the penetration, to get as much of the actual damage through. Attack speed is helpful for crit, but is a secondary stat. With Qin's Sais as your only attack speed item in your example, it's just not enough to make it effective...and the Banner ability isn't nearly enough of an attack speed boost to make it worthwhile without support from other items.

  • You also get "Optional lifesteal" in this build when you consider Devourer's Gauntlet to be core...double-lifesteal is just not recommended, especially when you're missing out on more "core" items like...yup, pen.
So, in that 2nd build, if you want it to be optimal, probably you'll at least take out Qin's and Bloodforge, and add in The Executioner, with the remaining slot being optional/situational...

Anyway, hope this helps.

Thanks for commenting! I defiantly agree these builds are weird. They go against my standards as a ADC main but for some reason they just work! Keep in mind i play primarily joust. I totally forgot about putting starters first, yes I agree starters are almost always necessary for conquest. For hachiman blue stone or deaths toll is a must.(ill fix it)

As for od bow i will have to respectfully disagree. Before I say why keep in mind that before hachiman I never used it on anyone else and I still don't. And here is why, Hachiman has really low scaling especially early on with abilities and because of it he has pretty bad clear. This lack of clear can make him get behind pretty fast and get outboxed by several other hunters early game. However adding with od bow he can keep up with clear while still poking the enemy team. It's especially useful since it is so cheap as well.
As for pen I will agree that it is really useful, however I think that the extra utility from poison star + 2 other crit items is nice as well and despite the fact that you may be doing less damage to the tanks you will be bursting down the back liners relatively quickly.

I (myself) am not as fond of the second build either. I feel like hachiman needs the burst damage that a crit can offer, and qins was there to help deal with the tanks. As for double life steal, that was just an option. As far as second life steal goes I would definatly go asi for the pen and attack speed. Also keep in mind this build is more customizable than the other. In fact I wouldn't even say qins is core.

Thanks again for your comment! It has actually inspired me to update it to include a third build (my standard hunter build) It should be more to your liking and hope you give it a read through!

Awesome, thanks for the reply. Having you explain your position definitely helps my understanding. I do have some additional comments that you might consider, but in the end, I can't speak against the success you seem to have had with the build so far...so, just things to consider.
  • Forgot to talk about build order...the order of your first 3 skills isn't big in Joust, but if again you are also applying to Conquest, important to make sure you order it properly (at least in your own opinion). Standard level 1 is usually Heavenly Banner.

  • Regarding Odysseus' Bow: So let's consider your statement that you mostly play Joust. At this point, I will agree with his somewhat lower scaling and poor clear (helped a bit by Bluestone if you choose to get in that mode). I then understand the poke potential O-Bow offers, and possible out-boxing. HOWEVER...Joust is a 3-man game. If you're the ADC, you're likely accompanied by a tank of some type, and a mage. In any Joust game, it's important to consider your team comp...many mages also have fairly strong clear, so it's not like it's necessarily a huge battle to outclear like it might be in Conquest. In addition, it's also not like you're sitting there boxing the enemy ADC 1v1...the other gods on both sides are going to participate, so it's more about what you can do to max your effectiveness. You may still feel O-Bow offers too much to push aside, but I think these are all things that should be evaluated for each match. In the end, I still don't think I'd get it first, due to the various reasons, but that's me.

  • Pen is still a core item to me...yeah, you'll deal good damage against squishies, but you'll deal MORE damage if you have pen. If you like the utility from Poisoned Star, by all means get it...I understand that...but I'd then argue that you might free up a slot by taking out either O-Bow (yeah yeah) or Bloodforge, since it's not like base is far or you'll lose lane by backing (you have 2 others).
Anyway, will check the guide out again once you update. =)
