(this is my first guide so let me know how I do)
Guan yu has really high damage early game which makes him a good jungler. He is also strong late game with his ability to take damage aswell as dish it out at the same time keeping his team nice and healthy with his healing.
Conviction : this ability is his healing ability which heals for 50 early game but goes up to 170 once maxed, the amount healed gets increased by guan yu's passive up to 2x the effectiveness. if you heal an allied god all of guan yu's ability have a 2 second reduction in all abilities, with ful cdr if you heal a friendly god this ability has a 3s cool down making it quite strong is sustaining in late game team fights. works well with salvation
Warriors will : this is a simple dash ability that does a decent amount of damage for what it is but is just an escape with its main benefits is making guan yu immune to roots, cripples, and knock ups while dashing, as well as making any god hit by this ability 25% slower for 2s
Taolu ***ualt : your main source of damage in fights, this attack is one of the best chase moves in the game, it does really high damage hitting the enemy every .3 seconds for 3 seconds (10 times) with making guan yu immune to knockback, this move also steals enemy protections and gives them to guan yu, this move carries no movement penalty while you use it making it amaxing for chasing gods that wont box with you while doing solid damage.
Calvary charge : this is an area of effect ultimate that makes guan yu immune to cc. every hit scales a bonus 20% damage to targets hit consecutively, this move also slows any enemy god hit by it by 25% for 2s. when guan yu dismounts his horse he stuns any enemy gods still in the AoE for 1.5s while also hitting them one more time
Painless : guan yu's passive is generally just a passive you don't have to think about to much, every time guan yu gets hit by anything (encludes minions and objectives)he gains one stack (max 20) stacks, conviction heals for a bonus 5% per stack on this passive consuming the current stack when used
bumba's mask: you are jungling you need this its not optional
warrior tabi: movement speed and physical power, its a must grab purchase as you will be rotating from lane to lane while hitting jungle camps
jotunn's wrath: gives physical power, mana, penetration, and 25% cdr pretty much everthing guan yu needs
Mail of renewal: gives cdr which combined with jotunn;s gives max cdr, gives extra health, physical protections, and heals you and gives you mana when ever you get a kill
runeforge hammer : this item gives a lot of damage by converting 15% of your physical protection to physical power, while giving you physical protection and extra health which you need since you will be up in there in the team fights
Stone of gaia : heals you passively every 5s while giving you massive magical protection, a litte health and some mp5 and hp5 is just a bonus
titan's bane : gives all physical attacks extra 33% pen which can make his taolu assault destroy tankier enemys
greater purifaction : shouldn't need explaining provides short cc immunity
combat blink : useful for escapes and can be used to chase gods who jump over walls
shield of the underworld : good against teams with gods who like to crit such as a mercury or carries
fist of the gods : a must get starting item with bumba's mask no excuses you need this stage two to get mid harpies or you risk being out leveled, good late game as an extra stun in team fights or escapes
Bulwark of hope : health and magical protection, can save you if you are in a losing team fight by reducing damage for 1 second when low on health
Pestilence : very useful if dealing with lifesteal gods while providing good magical protection and a health boost
Hide of the nemean lion : good against gods like loki, or any gods who like to build basic att like carries also combos with runeforge to give slight damage and a ton of physical protection
hide of the urchin : provides physical and magical protections and some extra health and mana
use your heals with max cdr its on a 3 second cooldown if you hit an ally god, be on the front lines you have the heal and protections to sustain in team fights and tank objectives i.e fire giant or gold fury. you have good damage to box tanks but work best when targeting slightly squisher gods. the chase makes you invaluable at finishing of kills so make sure you get, the slows/stun from the dash and the ult. can result in easy gank kills
abuse the heals just keep an eye on your mana and start to peel when your below 25% unless you trust you will win the fight. abuse your slow from your dash and your chase's
